Casa Tortuga is a magical place, sitting with its back to the world, facing the turquoise blue Caribbean Sea. You will enjoy complete privacy here. Few neighbors, no telephone, a wide sandy beach, ocean breeze and hammocks. Is this the Mexico you are searching for? If so, Casa Tortuga, located at the “wild” southern end of Solimon Bay is a perfect spot.

Casa Tortuga is a two level beach house which comfortably sleeps 12 people. The main house is located on the upper level and includes the main living area, kitchen and dining areas, master bedroom, guest bedroom with two double beds.The master bedroom boasts a comfortable queen size bed and private bathroom. Off the main living area is the second guest bedroom with 2 double beds. The main house bathroom is large with double sinks and a magnificent shower.

On the beach level are two bright and colorful bedrooms. These bedrooms open up to enjoy the breezes but are also air conditioned for your comfort. Each is furnished with a queen size bed plus a double futon in each room. They are separated by a large shared bathroom that is entered from each room. Also on the beach level is a separate, full bathroom, accessible from the beach level patio. Casa Tortuga offers a seamless flow between interior and exterior spaces with many windows, the large patio and second level verandah. The natural beauty of the area is highlighted through the use of warm traditional hardwoods in the exposed beam and pillar design, and through the use of tropical color. Hand painted and richly colorful talavera tile cover the kitchen and bathroom counter tops and highlight the large showers. The second level of Casa Tortuga is roofed by the traditional “palapa” or thatched roof which is visually stunning, but also very weather resistant and comfortable.

Casa Tortuga was just remodeled Fall 2007 with many upgrades. There are new stairways, sidewalks, a shade palapa with hammocks, and all new landscaping. The outdoor area on the veranda now has a combined built in charcoal grill with gas side griddle and double sink with hot and cold water. There is a cement table which will comfortably seat 10. There is a CD player with a variety of music and speakers in the living area, upstairs veranda, on downstairs patio and under the beach palapa; all on a switch that can change speaker locations. There are outdoor speakers on the veranda upstairs, downstairs, and the palapa. In the living area, a new L-shaped sofa couch has been built along with a bar and six stools in the kitchen. The entire interior has been repainted and there are brand new linens and towels. There are small security safes in each bedroom and a lock box large enough for laptops. You'll also find a new 20" TV complete with SKY satellite service and music channels. Soliman Bay is spectacular for snorkeling and there are 2 double kayaks available for you!
