Aventuras Akumal

Aventuras Akumal has been known for years as the home of Villas de Rosa Hotel and Dive Center. This long white beach is also home to the Oasis Akumal Resort located at the northern end of the bay and the well known Bahia Principe Resort to the south. Between the two resorts is a long stretch of soft white sand beach. Along the beach you will find beach homes and a just a few small condominium complexes.

We love the beach here! But what we really love is that you can find great vacation homes at reasonable rates.

Within Aventuras Akumal there is a small grocery store, located in Las Brisas, and restaurant located at the Villas de Rosa. You are also within walking distance to the Hacienda Dona Isabel Shopping Center. Not a great place to spend your vacation, but loaded with souvenir shops and equipped with ATM machines and a small eateries where you can get a quick lunch. From Aventuras Akumal, Dona Isabela Shopping Center is about a 15 minute walk.

The beach of Aventuras Akumal is great for swimming and some snorkeling. The bottom is generally soft and sandy. We do recommend water shoes and when kayaking please do not get to close to the coral.
