Casa Dos Palmas is a deluxe four bedroom (possible 5 bedrooms), four and half bath villa located ocean front, just a three minute walk from Akumal’s beaches, restaurants and boutiques. Dos Palmas onsite staff are excellent and will provide you with superb and personal care. Esther and Rigo will prepare freshly squeezed orange and rich Mexican coffee for you each morning to enjoy poolside or overlooking the ocean. You can also request freshly made guacamole and chips to enjoy around the pool in the afternoon. Maid service is provided six days per week. At your request, the staff is also available to prepare private meals served at the villa for an additional fee, (the grilled lime shrimp or steak and Flan are “out of this world”).

Dos Palmas offers 4,000 square feet of living space over two levels. The principal entry from the poolside patio area leads you to the dining area with seating for 8. As soon you enter you will be struck by the panoramic view of the sea.  Just beyond the dining area is the main sitting and conversation area. Overhead a 50 ft high cathedral ceiling ascends two stories to a magnificent traditional Hacienda style brick dome. The effect is dramatic and also means cool ocean breezes circulate freely throughout the villa. From the living area sliding glass doors lead you to the seaside patio area with dining table and other furnishings.Mexican and Mayan culture are highlighted throughout Dos Palmas by way of vivid and lively colors, traditional furnishings and hand painted talavera tiles in the bathrooms and accent areas.

To the left of the dining area is the fully functional and well equipped kitchen which includes a dishwasher. Kitchen windows look out over the pool, patios and garden.

All bedrooms have ocean views. There are two master suites; one on the second and one on the first level, both furnished with king bed. Both master suites are air conditioned and have private en suite baths. The master suite on the upper level accesses a private terrace via sliding glass doors. The master suite on the main level has sliding glass doors which lead to an open seaside patio.

Two guest bedrooms; again one on the second level and one on the first level, are furnished with two double beds each. Both are air conditioned. The guest bedroom on the first level accesses the shared seaside patio via sliding glass doors and has a private bath. The upper guest bedroom has sliding doors which lead to a private terrace and shares a bath with the media room.

The media room on the upper level is furnished with a large futon and sofa sleeper. The room is air conditioned with jungle and garden views. Here you will find the television with satellite channels, DVD Player and DVD library, CD Player and Stereo System.

Approaching Dos Palmas you will be drawn into the gorgeous green of lush gardens, creating the feel of a secret retreat just beyond. Dos Palmas enjoys the privacy and tranquility of tropical gardens on the entry side and the striking and unforgettable views and breezes of the Caribbean on the ocean side.

The very alluring tiled swimming pool and Jacuzzi are located on the garden side of the property. This is advantageous as it keeps the swimming pool sheltered and water warm and comfortable. The poolside patio is well furnished with dining table and chairs and enough chaise lounges for everyone. A very nice pergola provides a shaded area for guests as well. The rich green of the garden combined with bright blooms of abounding bougainvillea and sparkle of the swimming pool make the garden side just as magnificent as the ocean side.

All around Dos Palmas are completely private outdoor spaces which create serenity you will cherish – a tiled pool with relaxing Jacuzzi, terraces, decks, balconies, gardens and lawns. The owners have also taken the time to highlight the rich culture and unique natural beauty of the area with Mayan sculpture and naturalistic coral garden on the ocean side.  Both the poolside and seaside patios include dining areas.  rooftop observatory with 360 degree viewing of ocean, jungle, lagoon, sunrises and sunsets, and, best of all . . . the stars. (“We saw 13 shooting starts in one hour!”)
