Casa Ensueno

Casa Ensueno takes me back to the first time I fell in love with the Yucatan. Then life on the beach was lived outside spending long days on the beach, snorkeling among sea turtles and tropical fish, and big night skies full of stars reflecting off of the water. Casa Ensueno is still everything that I love about the Riviera Maya, making this a setting like no other for truly experiencing the incredible natural beauty and rich eco-systems of the Mexican Caribbean.

Casa Ensueno is an ocean front, palapa style vacation home on the soft sand beach of Tankah Bay. The central feature of this split level vacation home is its traditional Mayan “palapa”, which creates a large open air common area.

The circular palapa is a tall structure with a native grass thatch ceiling rising to a high peak over tropical hardwood beams. Under this palapa is the heart of Casa Ensueno; open on the ocean side, creating an almost seamless line between the natural world and interior living spaces.  Here guests can feel connected to the world outside while enjoying the creature comforts of a fully equipped vacation rental.  This is classic Riviera Maya! White sand beach, cool ocean breezes, and turquoise ocean against blue sky as far as you can see.

The main level of Casa Ensueno includes the open air circular living area with large built in sofa and raised kitchen and dining areas. Each of Casa Ensuenos’ bedrooms are enclosed areas, constructed of conventional block and concrete. The bedroom suites are designed for privacy and security.

Also on the main level, with access from the central living area is a large master suite. This main level bedroom suite is very spacious and equipped with everything you might need for private and cozy couples retreat including Jacuzzi tub, private bath and private patio area. The oversized Jacuzzi Tub is located under an interior arched pavilion allowing privacy and atmosphere for your bath while still allowing you to enjoy the ocean view.

On the second level are two large bedroom suites, each with well equipped kitchenettes, so that you can enjoy coffee early in the morning on your private patio. All bedrooms are air conditioned and have private bath. Each of the three bedrooms have been designed to create self contained private retreats. The bedrooms are furnished with king beds and enjoy beautiful views of the Caribbean and Tankah Bay.

This is a perfect set up for three couples but the large bedroom suites and lots of additional bedding also make it an excellent spot for families with children.
