Description

Luna Azul Condominiums, Unit #1. This bright and comfortable two bedroom, two bath condo is located right on the beach of Half Moon Bay. Beach chairs, shade palapas and great snorkeling are just a few steps away.

The unit offers a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, coffee maker and all appliances that you may need to prepare your own meals or enjoy snacks and cold drinks on the beach. Off of the kitchen is the dining area with seating for five. The living area is two steps down from the main entry / dining area, and faces the water. From the living and dining areas you can enjoy the view of Half Moon Bay through a wall of windows and sliding doors leading to the beachside patio. This patio is furnished with a hammock and table and chairs for you to enjoy the breezes and sounds of the surf.

To the rear of the unit are two bedrooms. The master bedroom is spacious and private with a large master bath and king bed. The guest bedroom is furnished with one double bed and one single bed and enjoys a private bath. AC in bedrooms.

Luna Azul is one of our favourite condominium properties. It has a great central location within walking distance to Akumal's Yal-Ku Lagoon, restaurants and other services. The management here is excellent and always takes great care of our guests.

The Riviera Maya is full of natural beauty, places to explore, and opportunities for outdoor activities. We have a great list of activities and adventures completely unaffected by the arrival of Sargasso that we would love to share with you. We loved out stay in Akumal and this property was fantastic. It was within walking distance to several restaurants and shops and was in line with many other properties but felt private at the same time. The view can't be beat. We have a family of 5 (boys aged 10,8,6) and it was perfect for us- the boys had their own bathroom and with a single and double bed in their bedroom, it was ideal. Being able to walk out onto the sand in the morning from our back patio was lovely. I highly recommend!

Fantastic beachfront location, literally 10 steps from the patio to the sea! Marcia at Akumal Direct was super responsive and helpful. Staff takes great pride in keeping the surrounding area clean and tidy and we liked the 10 pm to 8 am quiet time which everyone seemed to respect. Easy walk to the village where we would recommend Turtle Bay restaurant, and also great snorkelling in the nearby lagoon

Great, clean condo! Only correction needed to the listing is there is no AC in the living area; currently a wall-hanging covering the space where the AC unit is in the pictures. But otherwise it was perfect!

This place is a gem. Definitely a dream. We had the best vacation with two very young children and it was so convenient that it is on the shore of the beach. The sound of the waves and the incredible view. The super clean condo, beautifully decorated and also provided us with a portable crib. The cleaning service and the water a super plus.

Great condo right on the beach. We did have an issue with construction noise in the neighboring building. Lots of hammering and drilling. Management did reimburse us a little bit. I would make sure there are no other building projects planned before booking again

This property was amazing! We loved the location. The condo is perfect for 4 people and had everything we needed, even floats for the sea and a cool box. Waking up to the sounds of the sea was a highlight of our stay! The reef directly in front of the property in half moon bay, was fantastic for snorkeling. We saw a turtle and a ray, as well as lots of fish. There were men out every morning cleaning the beach. There is a mini-market opposite the condo, ideal for essentials. Half moon bay is a beautiful and quiet location. Parking in Akumal beach was difficult so I would suggest renting bikes. The beach bar Buena vista was a favourite of ours, with beautiful views, hammocks, and swing seats. Yak Ku lagoon is a short walk away, nice snorkeling for those not comfortable in the open sea.

Great place stayed in unit 1 the snorkeling is really good the beach does have a lot of coral in half moon bay. The staff was nice and very helpful. It was a great place to stay and will be back for sure.

My family has always stayed in big resorts. This is the first time ever staying in a condo. We knew we were in for something special since we were never able to afford ocean view or beach front at the resorts, but Luna Azul #1 just blew our expectations out of the water. It was beautiful, private, convenient and just downright amazing. Best location on Halfmoon Bay and maybe all of Akumal.

Akumal and Half Moon Bay are perfect for a quiet get away. Far from the craziness of Cancun or PDC or Tulum. Great restaurants, especially in the pueblo. We've stayed in many of the condos. All have been great.

This unit was perfect for us! Great table on the patio for morning coffee. Even with the Sargasso the location was still great. There are plenty of other things to do and there are vendors at the entry of the bay that will give you a good deal on snorkeling, atvs and boat trips. The small store in walking distance had good prices. I would definitely stay away from the General Store near the OXXO. Great food and groceries just across the bridge in Akumal Central. A short drive from Playa del Carmen and Tulum for awesome day trips! The housekeepers came in daily to clean and always did a great job! Bonus: A turtle laid a nest right in front of our unit!

We love Akumal, and this is our 3rd time staying at Luna Azul. The condo is bright, clean, and very spacious. Was perfect for our family of 5. The kids loved the freedom to come in and out to play in the sand right outside the door. The internet is really fast and we had no issues with it at all. Our next Akumal trip will definitely be booked to stay at Luna Azul again.

The condo was super clean and cleaning staff and grounds people were all wonderful. Office manager was very attentive to all needs. Love the town of Akumal and how safe I felt there! Beautiful condo, steps from the sea, located in a quiet and safe community. Many restaurants to choose from at walking distance. Two things you need to be aware of, no washer and dryer but there is a laundry service in the village, and spotty internet. We were surprised that maid was cleaning every other day.

We arrived on a Saturday to our very clean condo. The first floor condo was literally 100’ from the ocean. We’ve stayed in another condo close by last year. Check in was quick. Housekeeping comes in every morning to clean the unit, make beds, do dishes, switch out towels etc. The area is very safe. There is a small grocery store about 50 yards away from this condo. Basic items including beer, wine, and alcohol can be purchased there. It is very quiet in this area. No late night partying going on. There are many things to do from here. We had a great time and will definitely come back.

We have stayed at the Luna Azul twice and would go back again. Our family loves this area of Quintana-Roo. Its not 'Cancun Crazy' just Laid back and relaxing. Swim with sea turtles, right in front of your condo, or walk down to the park (6 blocks) a small addmision and your swimming with tropical fish in the lagoon. rent a car and you are a short distance from Tulum, Coba or many other great day trips. Just remember to keep a full tank of gas!! our freinds ran out and that was a pain as the gas station was out of gas too!! Bring your snorkel gear and have a great time!!

We did not see the property manager when we were there. The reservation was made through Akumal Direct. We arrived late at night and could not find anyone to open our room as everything was closed. A security person happened to be in the area and let us in. It was a beautiful facility and were there for our son's wedding. The property was very expensive and we could only afford to do something like this on a special occasion.

I would recommend this as the perfect vacation getaway to anyone. It is a serene and beautiful location. The unit itself is maintained beautifully.

This was a top notch location for a week away from home!! There were good restaurants/outdoor lounges just steps down the beach and many attractions within an hours drive. The only issue was the broken air conditioner in the second bedroom. Otherwise, A+ for the property and for Akumal Direct!!

patio is awfully small, everything else, room wise, was fine. Location is ery good

We had the opportunity to watch a 3 1/2 foot sea turtle come out of the ocean and lay eggs. It was amazing and a memory we won't forget.

I recently stayed at the Luna Azul property in Akumal for 5 nights. The location is fantastic; it is literally right on the beach and the view is breathtaking. My only recommendations would be to have more beach chairs for the property and better mattresses and pillows in the bedrooms.

We arrived shortly after 5:00 PM and we had some difficulty trying to find out how we check in since their was no longer anyone working in the office for the day. It took us a while to find out how to get the key to get in the unit.

Wonderful stay! The only problem was that the room was not cleaned before we arrived and a room key could not be found. This was resolved shortly, and the room was cleaned while my wife and I relaxed on the beach. Great time!

We had a great stay in Akumal and really enjoyed our beach front condo overall. It was very clean and everything was a described. The beach is beautiful and we really enjoyed getting into the water everyday and sunning on the chairs in front of the condo. The only area for improvement is with the wifi; it was weak and inconsistent throughout our stay. We were there for holiday so it didn't affect us too much but had we needed to work we would not have been able to. The connection supported email but would not have supported Zoom / video conferencing.

My wife and I work from home due to COVID. This unit was the perfect location, had great WIFI, and a million dollar view. We really enjoyed our time here.

My wife and I worked from home, and this was the perfect getaway. Great location, nice restaurants and stores close by, and internet was very good. Strongly recommend!
