Villa Fortuna is the newest villa in Akumal, having been just completed in December 2014. This massive luxury home boasts 6 ocean facing bedrooms, 7000 squ ft of luxury living spaces both indoors and outdoors, beautifully custom made furnishings and commissioned art, a large gourmet kitchen, and beach front pool. On the roof, guests at Fortuna can enjoy a beautiful furnished roof terrace affording 360 views around the local area from the sparkling Caribbean Sea in the east to the lush mayan jungle to the west. The roof terrace is also a fantastic place for star gazing in the warm evenings. Villa Fortuna is fully air conditioned, and comes complete with WiFi internet, and TVs in each bedroom with satellite programming.
This decadent home is located right on the white sandy beach on Akumal's Half Moon Bay. The bay is home to a diverse range of tropical marine life including tropical fishes, rays, and endangered sea turtles. In the summer months, these turtles nest all along Half Moon Bay, and guests of Villa Fortuna may be lucky enough to watch a huge mother turtle heave her way lf up onto the beach to nest, or a hundred baby turtles erupt from a nest and begin their journey towards the sea.
Villa Fortuna is also conveniently located with easy walking distance of several excellent restaurants and bars, dive centers, and other local amenities. Akumal itself is a laid back eco village, and is the perfect base to explore Mayan ruins, cenotes, adventure parks, and the towns of Playa del Carmen and Tulum.

The village of Akumal is well equipped with lots of local amenities, most of which are within walking distance of the majority of the properties. Akumal Proper encompasses Akumal Bay, Half Moon Bay, and the beautiful Yalku Lagoon area, and is about 1.5miles long from end to end. Within Akumal Proper there are several excellent restaurants, 3 dive centers, a spa, a yoga studio, and an Ecological Center. There are several small boutiques and convenience stores throughout the village, and many more local amenities including internet cafe, laundry, and great local eateries in the Akumal Pueblo on the west side of the highway.
