We had an amazing view of the beach from our balcony and also had a jungle view from the guest bedroom. The photos on the website are quite accurate. The water off the beachfront was perfect for snorkeling. There are some rocks you need to get over in order to get into the water, so bring swimming shoes. The unit was very clean and the maid service was exceptional. The kitchen had all the amenities you would expect. The Brighteyes management team was very responsive to any questions we had. We would defintely go back there again.

If there are urgent repair works that could affect the guests, the least that can be done is to inform them (phone numbers and email accounts of the guests are available), a note can be left on the door, management can be aware of the movement of the guests to approach and communicate the situation, not doing so and simply letting the guest encounter the adverse situation is a sign of poor service. A daily inspection of the building facilities in the morning and in the afternoon would allow to know the state of the facilities of the building, waiting for a guest to report the malfunction or total breakdown of the elevator does not speak well of the manager's/director's ability to command and control.
The cleaning, security and maintenance workers of the property were extremely kind and friendly.
The sea and the surroundings of Akumal are still phenomenal.
We will return to Akumal!
Akumal remains a unique destination to enjoy the beauties that the Mexican Caribbean offers. It was our first time staying in a condominium, previously we had always rented a villa at Aventuras Akumal. The stay in general was pleasant. There is a need for better information on the website regarding the current situation of the sargassum, although it is mentioned, it is not reported correctly. Mentioning that there may be the presence of sargassum is not enough, the geographic location of Akumal and the knowledge of its currents allows access to reliable information about the places in the bay that during the seasons of the year suffer from a greater presence of sargassum, as well as the residents knowing what the plan and/or projects are regarding the collection of sargassum by municipalities and colonies (municipal, state, federal or private attention), this information would definitely be of great help to better choose the area to stay.<br/><br/>The management/director of the building can improve a lot. Kitchen is fully outfitted with all pots, pans, dishes. Daily maid service was very nice to keep dishes clean and sand off the floors. The pool was great for our small children. The convenience store across the street was nice for last minute items. Highly recommended!!

Communication through email or text were always answered promptly. The property was clean and the pool was a delight! The elevator was down as stated in the reservation; you have a 50/50 chance of it working. We, of course, stayed on the top level... Movement and exercise are good for ya!!~ On that note, we rented a golf cart and Akumal Direct helped reserve. They drop off/pick up at the property for a fee, that I gladly paid! The Sargassum was low while we were there, however, we had one windy day and the staff came and cleaned it up. Live with Nature, it isn't going anywhere. All n All a fantastic stay!!~ Thank you.

Absolutely perfect location! Amazing views! The unit was well furnished and clean. House keeping was amazing. The pool was clean and the facility was well cared for. Great condo for a getaway

Also plan for the elevator to work intermittently - there will be days where you can only take the stairs. Stop to get your major groceries in Puerto Aventuras - the kitchen is basic so do not plan elaborate meals/prep.
Perfectly quiet and clean condo with two large bedrooms for family or friends. You can hear the ocean waves even with the doors closed. The balcony facing the ocean and the vast and lush rainforest of Akumal at the back. So grateful that son-in-law let us joined the 8 nights stay at this fabulous condo��. There was a lot of seaweed or sargosa that prevented us from swimming out in the ocean but the pool was a great alternative. Overall the unit was nice with very comfortable furniture and beds. Can't wait to return.

Featuring a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and a large living room with 2 large comfortable sofas this penthouse can sleep up to 6 guests.
The primary bedroom is furnished with a king bed and en suite bathroom. The guest room has a king size bed (can be made into two twin beds upon request) and two trundle beds.
The master bedroom, living room, kitchen and expansive terrace provide guests with gorgeous views of the Caribbean from sunrise.
The guest room has a calm and relaxing view of the Mayan Jungle, perfect for sunset.
Guests can enjoy some of the best snorkeling right out the door and also Yal Ku Lagoon and Akumal Bay, all of which provide the very best off-shore snorkeling in the area. This one road town is no more than 1.5 miles long making its many eateries, dive shops, boutiques and stores easily accessible by foot, bike or golf cart. The more adventurous travelers seeking to explore more of Riviera Maya will find themselves a short drive from the many archaeological sites, eco-parks, golf courses, and the nearby cities of Playa del Carmen and Tulum.
