Props to Akumal Direct Reservations! This is a great company to book thru. Very communicative, helpful with answering questions and arranging for grocery delivery along with transportation! If we go back I would definitely book thru Akumal Direct again! Our location was right on the beach, walk out patio into the sand with the ocean 100’ away! Able to hear the waves all night! Quiet, peaceful and the manager/staff were all so friendly and helpful! Well done Akumal Direct!

The stay and location was great for our group (2 couples) The staff were very helpful and the condo was very clean, well stocked with all supplies (the only thing we had to buy was groceries, they supplied water for us!) and comfortable. We loved being on the water and literally 20 steps away from the water! Thank you!

Management visited every day to see if they could do anything for us. Could not ask for a nicer place and have visited Akumal every year for the past 12 years. Recommend to anyone, family, single persons, couples. Quiet and restful.

This was a very comfortable clean condo 30 ft. from the ocean. Fifteen min. walk to Akumal and there is a little grocery store a minute walk away. We loved the decor inside the condo and it offers free wi-fi. Great ocean view with a hammock on the lani. We had some problems with the toilets but they were fixed in a very timely matter. Maid service was very good. A short walk north on the beach there is less wave action and the water is crystal clear with good snorkeling out toward the waves. The owner has a binder with useful information. There are books, cd's, and movies. I would stay here again.

We would have preferred a place where we could have walked outside to the ocean and swam because we drove to the Akumal beach. That was lovely, so the drive was worth it. Actually, we just recommended it to some friends who were there this month.

We have been coming to Akumal for seven years now, but this was the first time at the Playa Blanca. It was a great place to stay......perfect location (almost center in Half Moon Bay) and very clean. I also liked that we were able to use the pool at another complex if we wanted.

We were guests in Akumal in March of 2008. The Playa Blanca location was excellent and the property was very well kept. We couldn't have been more happy. There is plenty to do in and around Akumal. Never a dull moment, unless you wanted it to be! We had a little problem with red ants in the kitchen area but I understand that's pretty normal. We also saw a few "roach-like bugs" in the back bedroom, but other than that the property was excellent! I would recommend a stay at Playa Blanca to anyone. Enjoy and relax!

We really enjoyed ourselves in Akumal. I think it was a little misleading as far as the shoppoing and food goes. The 'Grocery' stores are more like little rooms with a few staples. The restaurants were quite expensive and they were not very close to walk to especially with small children. Playa Blanca was a very nice place to rent out. The staff there were very nice and the place was very CLEAN. Overall we had a great time but It is wise to rent a car so you can get around a lot easier.I would recommend this plkace.
