The huge balcony was a great place to have coffee, read, and just sit and look at the beauty surrounding us. While this was our third time in Akumal, it was our first time on the other side of the village and we absolutely loved walking into the village, to Yul-Ha, and had our choice of places to eat and drink only minutes away. Being able to snorkel right out front was an extra bonus. We couldn't have asked for anything better!

Christmas in Akumal

Throughout the week, as we both relaxed at the condo/beach and explored many areas of the Yucatan peninsula, we commented on how smooth things went in large part because of Akumal Direct and its seamless coordination and the outstanding concierge services. Plus, the condo itself was perfectly appointed and super comfortable!

Reviewed on 2023-08-01 by Rocio I. , Mexico, CDMX MXEs un lugar excelente, super amplio, acogedor, con muchos detalle que hacen muy agradable el ambiente, vistas maravillosas, el aire acondicionado y ventiladores funcionan de maravilla, su cocina muy equipada. Alrededor muy tranquilo. Los encargados nos advirtieron del sargazo (que obviamente no se puede controlar) pero eso no arruinó nuestras vacaciones. Tuvimos oportunidad de ver nacer tortugas y nadar con ellas en otra bahia. Es un lugar para los amantes de la naturaleza pero que nos gusta disfrutar de buena vida. Seguro que volveré pronto. El encargado en la noche muy amable y atento. Quien estaba limpiando el lugar de día nos ayudó con las maletas también. Todos muy amables y atentos.

Great condo on Half Moon Bay
Reviewed on 2023-06-01 by , Albuquerque, NM USThis is a beautiful 3rd floor condo right on Half Moon Bay just north of Akumal. Very comfortable and nicely furnished. We greatly enjoyed it. With our party of five, we had plenty of room and there were lots of games available for evening family time.

Mexico Getaway

Beach access has great sand and is cleaned each morning. Easy parking. Cons: Stove did not work you could smell the gas but would not lite. Showers are huge but terrible water pressure. Small little ants in kitchen. Didn't realize the third bedroom is not attached at all. The wind bangs the hurricane shutters around all night taking away from the ocean noise. Third floor provides nice view but a huge work out when bring stuff up and down. No pool..looks like there was one at one time. Over all nice condo with large porch for stairing out at the beautiful sea.

Nice view

We were a little disappointed that the beach does not have sandy bottom and you need to wear shoes for a dip, but we found Xpu-Ha beach 15 km from the condo and it’s probably one of the best beaches I’ve ever seen. They have a lovely new beach club that was very affordable and nice bathrooms etc. The apartment itself was very nice. As nice as the pictures. Akumal is super nice. We rented bikes and had really nice meals every day, to be honest I would much rather be in Akumal than Tulum or Playa del Carmen. The Condo is in a nicely gated area and it’s clean and nice everywhere you go.

Featuring all the modern comforts of home, this vacation rental is a magical getaway with dazzling views of the Caribbean Sea. Playa Blanca condominiums are one of Akumal’s landmark properties, renowned for their central location, spacious layout, and amazing views.
Located on the third floor, guests can gaze upon the beach and turquoise waters from the beachfront terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, dining, and living areas. Large sliding glass doors bring plenty of natural light to enter, and when opened, welcome fresh ocean breezes flow. The large terrace is furnished with a table and chairs, and comfortable lounging.
Each one of the penthouse’s 3 bedrooms has an ensuite bath.
- The master bedroom has a king-size bed, and the second guest room has a queen-sized bed.
- The third suite has a king bed, a kitchenette, an entertainment center, private access, and a beautiful street-side view of the jungle.
You can access a number of adventures on foot or by bike. A shallow reef lies right in front of you for snorkeling and encountering tropical fish, rays, and the famous Akumal sea turtles. A ten-minute walk leads you to Yal-Ku lagoon, a cenote and large lagoon that blends fresh water with the ocean for a beautiful snorkeling experience away from the waves.
KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Riviera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware that there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.
