The place was very clean and quite spacious. We had everything we needed. One of the back right burners didn't work but we made due.

I will highly recommend you book this condo. It was such a relaxing stay. Restaurants were within walking distance. The staff were very attentive and happy to help if needed. We rented bikes and golf cart right at the property. You will not be disappointed if you book this condo. Ease of booking was a big plus. Again I highly recommend this propert

The booking process was simple, straight forward and all of my questions were answered in a timely fashion. Also, the online pictures accurately reflect the current status of Condo #1. Lastly, future renters should be aware, if seaweed lands on the beach in front of Play Caribe, or on the neighboring condominiums on either side, NO effort is made to remove it. It is left alone to let Mother Nature take it course. To enter the water you must walk 300-400 yards to the north to find the beginning of properties who remove it. It is what it is.

We're so glad that everyone in your party enjoyed their stay at Playa Caribe. Good news is that this summer the bay will have a containment barrier installed and hopefully reduce the amount of seaweed on the beach. Unfortunatey, Half Moon Bay's unique position and delicate ecosystem doesn't allow for heavy machinery and the amount of seaweed is so much that even when we had men shoveling 8 hours a day, their efforts hardly made a dent. Playa Caribe #1 Great Condo!!

The unit is set away from the pool which is ideal for a more "chill" space on the patio. The unit was clean and well maintained. Beautiful views and great pool. The only negatives were that the coffee maker was broken and when we told the property manager on the first day, he failed to replace it for our entire stay. The second negative was the extremely bright rope lights they use to light the entry to the condos. They shine through the patio doors from about 10 feet away on the bedroom all night. We had to cover the door with blankets to keep the light out so we could sleep.

Amazing place with an incredible view!

We stayed with our two children, ages 5 and 8, and we had plenty of space. We also traveled with 4 other families who also stayed at Playa and it was great to have all of us in one place together, yet allowing each of us to have our own condo.

Tranquil and beautiful

This unit is nice and well kept, with no real flaws. It has central air which is not typical, and a real bonus in hot/humid weather. The building staff are friendly and efficient, as expected. The pool is small but sufficient unless you have a fair number of kids with you, when it might be a bit tight. Only suggestion - get rid of the sign ("More chairs available on the north side") which isn't needed and blocks the view from the condo, as shown.

We have stayed at Playa Caribe numerous times and have found it to be the BEST! Location, Cleanliness, Beach and any overall Vacation pleasure.

It was wonderful to wake up and see the ocean from bed and then be able to walk directly onto the beach. Augustine the day manager was extremely helpful. The condo's were immaculate and the maids were incredible.

There were more amenities in the condo's than we realized. The grill mentioned was portable and shared so you had to reserve it for dinner and did not have exclusive use to it but that didn't really bother us. Being able to drink the water was a HUGE plus!

About the Surroundings
Half Moon Bay is a secure, gated neighborhood known for its peaceful setting and beautiful shoreline. While its sand is soft, coral rock near the entry means water shoes are helpful for swimmers. The condo is within walking distance of Yal Ku Lagoon, restaurants, and shops. Golf carts and bikes are practical for nearby exploration, while a rental car or private driver is best for accessing cenotes, ruins, and the wider Riviera Maya.
KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.
The Riviera Maya is full of natural beauty, places to explore and opportunities for outdoor activities. We have a great list of activities and adventures completely unaffected by the arrival of sargasso that we would love to share with you.
