Excellent Vacation

The chick in- check out process was a breeze, staff was super friendly. There was fresh water provided, beautiful view that accesses the pool area, and beach. Wonderful stay.

Why I love Condo #3

Super easy access to the pool and a deck that opens onto it, makes it feel like it's your own. In fact, it was easy to forget sometimes that other people were staying there. The concierge team is fantastic and very helpful. We felt safe, comfortable and fully at ease. Add to that a 5 minute walk to Happy Hour and you've got yourself a recipe for a great vacation.

Family vacation rental

It was clean, well maintained, the beds were comfortable. It however, has it's door to the beach directly in front of the other guest's area and was often noisy and occupied when we got out for the day. There was also a good bit of noise coming from the front . Other than this, it was a nice place to spend Christmas with my adult kids!

Beautiful location and quite space

We snorkeled every day and enjoyed the outdoor patio for meals. Inside the kitchen was well equipped and we saved money by cooking most days. We would come back again. The only negative would be that the condo was a little musty smelling when we first arrived. Although the condo has air conditioning we preferred opening the patio screens and that seemed to take away the musty smell.

Perfect family condo

We did share with friends, so I did find the shutters enclosing the main bedroom a little too exposed for my preference. But the entire suite was extremely clean, comfortable beds, lots of nice towels and a great blender in the kitchen. I recommend the grocery service. The pool was a nice touch- and clean. We would recommend!

Incredible location and view

Highly recommend wearing water shoes as you enter the beach as it’s a bit rocky. We had fun hunting for shells and were rewarded with a huge Conch shell.
We would recommend the Playa Caribe for a magical vacation in Mexico! We’d live to return!
We were very pleased with our ground floor rental at Playa Caribe! The condo was very clean and well stocked. It was the perfect set up for our family of five. We loved waking up to spectacular sunrises with the gorgeous view. We enjoyed lounging by the pool and on the beach just steps from our door. Akumal is truly a place of magic. The people at the property are very friendly and responsive to our needs. The location is wonderful with so much to do in walking distance. We had breakfast at the Turtle Bay Cafe, we enjoyed dinner outside by the sea at Buena Vida. We had a wonderful day that started with breakfast at the Jungle Cafe and then snorkeling further down the street at Ya-Cool. It was amazing to see where the ocean met the fresh water and all of the fish! We felt very safe in our location. We even met Kilo the military dog who’s posted to the area. We traveled outside the arch to dine at a less touristy and local Taco Mia for a delicious lunch. We had an unforgettable experience day tripping in Tulum, exploring the ruins, then we walked to the Playa Paradiso beach and had a healthy breakfast, then set up for the day at the El Paradiso Beach Club to rent a longing bed, umbrella and table and chair setup. We enjoyed the music, drinks, bathroom facilities and the gorgeous clear ocean. <br/>Back at the condo we loved to enjoy a swim while looking out at the ocean. Riviera Maya vacation

Wonderful Vacation

We had 3 first floor condos for our group and it was just perfect. Steps from the beach and snorkeling from the beach in front of the complex was the best. Always had a palapa and chairs if we wanted one and our group had 2 golf carts which we used everyday. The sun rise from our porch was spectacular every morning. The ocean view from the patio's was something we enjoyed looking at all day every day. The store across the street had all the snacks and liquor we needed and ice! We ate out every night and the restaurants were all top notch. Favorites being Turtle Bay Bakery & Cafe and La Cueva del Pescador! We had a private chef come in 2 nights for dinner and it was delicious food and they left the kitchen spotless. Augustine the office manager was extremely helpful with any questions or requests and helped translate when needed. The grounds/condos were so pretty and extremely clean. House keeping did an exceptional job every day. Everyone in our group had a fabulous time and can't wait to come back!

Playa Caribe 3 is a stylish two-bedroom, two-bath condo in Half Moon Bay’s southern wing. Designed for six guests, it features a king Master Suite, guest suite with two double beds, central AC, and a kitchen with breakfast bar overlooking the sea. A terrace with pool access completes this inviting retreat.
Inside the Residence
This residence blends coastal charm with functional design. The Master Bedroom features a king bed and private ensuite, while the guest suite provides two queen beds and its own bathroom. Central AC ensures comfort throughout the bedrooms and the living/dining spaces.
The open-plan living area connects seamlessly with the kitchen and terrace. The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, full-size refrigerator, and breakfast bar, where views of Half Moon Bay accompany morning coffee or evening cocktails. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors allow natural light and ocean breezes, while leading directly to the outdoor patio.
With its spacious design and non-smoking interiors, Playa Caribe 3 comfortably accommodates families with children, couples traveling together, or groups of friends. Its setting on the southern side of the building provides a sense of privacy, while still granting immediate access to the pool and beach.
Access & Amenities
Guests enjoy daily housekeeping, purified water, beach towels, and parking. The furnished terrace offers loungers, a BBQ grill, and direct pool entry, along with an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. The concierge is available to arrange grocery delivery, transfers, or excursions.
About the Surroundings
Half Moon Bay is part of north Akumal’s secure gated community, known for its tranquil beaches and coral reef. From Playa Caribe 3, you can walk to Yal Ku Lagoon, Akumal Bay, shops, and restaurants. While the area is bike- and golf cart-friendly, a rental car or private driver is recommended for exploring cenotes, ruins, and other Riviera Maya highlights.
KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.
