Beautiful property, we used every part of it. The upstairs bar was a favourite hang out spot for some and pool side for others. It was quiet and clean and modern, there was no dishwasher which for large groups could be inconvenient. The pictures were accurate. Scott was wonderful and great at communicating. It was a very enjoyable stay. A short walk to the lagoon, gave free access to wonderful and safe snorkeling.

We rented Villa de Paz for a week-long family vacation in mid-February 2025. It proved to be an ideal accommodation for six adults and three children, exceeding our expectations. The common areas, as depicted in the photographs, are very spacious, with ample indoor space and an open-air rooftop. The pool was a highlight, particularly enjoyed by the children. The villa is well-equipped and meticulously maintained, situated in a secluded and secure location. The Yal-Ku lagoon and snorkeling area were conveniently accessible via a well-maintained footpath, and free access to the lagoon was an appreciated benefit. Additionally, Akumal Beach was just a short drive from the villa.

The Akumal Direct team provided exceptional service throughout our stay. Roger and Fabiola, the villa caretakers, took excellent care of us and prepared four dinners during our stay. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with a large bowl of guacamole, homemade salsa, and several bags of tortilla chips, which was a pleasant treat after a long day of travel. The meals prepared by Roger and Fabiola were delicious and abundant. The Parrillada (grilled platter of beef, sausage, and salsas) was particularly outstanding and lasted for two days. We extend our sincere thanks to Roger and Fabiola for their hard work.

Akumal Direct Reservations and their team were efficient and accommodating from start to finish. The night before our arrival, we requested the concierge service to arrange transportation from Cancun Airport to the villa, and David promptly facilitated this request. The transport van pickup and return to the airport were seamless.

We also wish to acknowledge Scott, who visited early in our stay to offer recommendations for restaurants and activities. We particularly enjoyed dining at La Buena Vida restaurant on the beach.

Everything from the home to roger and staff was great, we really enjoyed the home! If anything our pool privacy was not perfect because of the home being built next to the home and people working daily right above the pool area. But we understand people need to work and more beautiful homes are being built for people to enjoy their vacations. As far as the home in general it was perfect for our vacation, hoping to return next year.

Common areas are very spacious, both inside and upstairs. Kitchen had everything we needed. Gas grill outside was the fanciest I have ever seen. Well-equipped, and air-conditioned fitness room was an added value for some. Private outdoors with a nice swimming pool was the hit with everybody. We spent a significant fraction of our time in the pool. The villa has a nice contemporary design, is well equipped and maintained. The area felt safe, with a guarded gate at the entrance. The villa is surrounded by a jungle, though a new villa is being developed on one side behind the fence. The place feels secluded and quiet. We took advantage of the maintenance staff cooking for us twice, and both times we were very satisfied with the food quality. We could communicate in English with them. It was an ideal place for a family escape.

While for a sandy beach access, you will need to take a short drive to Akumal, a great swimming/snorkeling area is a short work along a well-maintained foot path to Yal Ku (underground river discharging to a lagoon). Free access to this lagoon is a nice perk of this rental.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home itself was beautiful and clean and even nicer than the pictures. It is the perfect layout for two families. Fabiola and Roger were wonderful and the home was clean and really well managed. When we had questions they were extremely responsive. The only downside was constant construction next door and the noise and lack of privacy.
