The housekeeper and gardener were also perfect. We would highly recommend Villa Gauguin for your stay. We had 2 families and the sleeping situation was perfect. You have your own private access to Yalku Lagoon right off the back porch. A lot of the pictures online have NOT been updates. There is new furniture, decorations as well as new windows and glass railings. The entire pool area has also been updated and is perfect!! The View is amazing as well!! The location is at the back end of Akumal, so rent a golf cart or 2. Not far, but you wont want to walk everyday into Akumal for meals.

There was a consistent wet spot outside, that seemed to be a leak from some where, that made it slippery. If there was any wind the grill did not work well as it didn’t have a hood on it.
Villa gaugin was beautiful. Alberto and Cynthia were very helpful and kept the place looking great. The access to snorkeling was so wonderful and got to see a lot of fish and having kayaks was a lot of fun. Rooms were all very nice with great views.
