This is a lovely venue. I could hear the waves on the shore and see the moon on the bay at night. Everything is as pictured and in good repair. Our property manager and cleaner were both very good. The one downside is that the internet is quite hopeless.

We have rented this condo many times. We love to stay here in the summer and see the turtles laying and hatching. This is a coral beach and a small reef system is just a swim away. If you stay April-October the turtles lay nests and hatch. Ariel manages this condo and he is wonderful. Housekeeper Valentina is a joy! Condo is always clean and well maintained with great AC and a smart TV in the living room. There is no pool here and it is quiet and relaxing.

Snorkeling right in front of our penthouse was fantastic.
Our concierge David was so helpful and we had everything we needed.
What a surprise to us that we had housekeeping, and we really appreciated that as well. Thank you to our groundskeeper Daniel, who opened up a coconut for our son (found on the property).

Loved our 12 day stay in Unit 5. Was magical to wake up with the wind blowing across the bed, the sound of the waves and the incredible view without lifting your head off the pillow. The wicker furniture in the living room was quite uncomfortable but other than that everything was perfect.

We have stayed at Yool Caanal before and were excited about coming back.
Part of our stay was in Unit 4, which was mostly very nice; very clean and comfortable and good Wi-Fi. The refrigerator made a very loud humming noise when the compressor was running. The microwave made a loud humming noise while running. Other than early in the morning or in the very late afternoon, the balcony patio was pretty much unusable because the sun shine made it unbearably hot. An awning or umbrella would be helpful.
Unit 5 has great views, but the Wi-Fi was spotty at best and not good if one planned to do some work there. The living room could use its own air conditioner as it get quite warm in there during the day. Maid service was wonderful for both units.

Loved our stay at Yool Caanal. The view from the penthouse is amazing we watched the sunrise every morning from the bedroom. So peaceful very quite end of the beach. Basically the whole beach to yourself. We Were very lucky no sargassum issues. The condo building only has 5 units in it. Our unit was everything we needed. Great a/c in the bedrooms. The main living room area is not air conditioned but it wasn’t a problem for us. You are in Mexico you should expect it to be warm. We opened the window and got a breeze in the area.l and were
Feel. The centre Terrace was heavenly both into the day and the stars at night. The unit has a older deco style with a Mexican vibe. thing maybe a bit older but everything so clean. No doubt in you mind things are freshly laundered. The housekeeping was nice to have. our bed made everyday and bathroom and kitchen freshen up. The location, space, and view are unbelievable for the price point. It truly is everything we wanted in a Mexican vacation. There are two great restaurants la Lunita nice night out restaurant and La Buena Vida very easygoing feet in the sand bar and restaurant in very close walking distance. Also a mini convenience store close by. Akumal beachside town is a easy 15-20 min walk. There is a small spa hare krishna spa a few condos down in the way I had a relaxing massage so peaceful. I would return to Yool Caanal in a heartbeat.

Was there for a week and couldn't have been happier. Enjoyed the place being right on the beach. Nice and quiet area, which is what we wanted. Only complaint my wife had was no AC in the living room/kitchen area. We had windows and doors open for a wonderful breeze to come blowing through.

Half Moon Bay is the only place to stay in Akumal. The top floor of Yool Caanal has a great view and plenty of room. Lots of piece and quiet.

My husband and I stayed at Yool Caanal Unit 5 12/25/21 - 1/1-22 and we had such a great experience. The location of this condo on Half Moon Bay is perfect if you are looking for something away from the more crowded Akumal beach area. We rented bicycles for the week which was a perfect way to get to the restaurants and shops in Akumal and Akumal Pueblo. The condo itself was beautiful and exactly as described. The folks at Akumal Direct were so very responsive and helpful with all the reservation details and even offered a discount due to some construction going on next door. Absolutely no complaints; would definitely stay here again (and again).

We spent three nights here just after the New Year. We snorkeled every day, searched the tide pools just down the beach, and ate at La Lunita just down the beach for dinners. The views, waves, and breeze are perfect if you just want to get away for a while. Perfect for a family or even two couplea traveling together.

Yool Caanal #5 is the most spectacular and perfect space to just let the world roll past you and enjoy the beautiful beach and lovely snorkeling all day long. Walk from here to a little grocery when you need a few items, or all the way into the main beach area (a lovely mile) for restaurants and shopping. Just an amazing rental and I’d love to return. Great location, staff, and condo. They also did a great job removing the sea grass. The condo could have used a little TLC, but not a big deal. I would have also appreciated an AC in the main living room. But, I’d just go to a resort for a perfect room. I like it the way it is.

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view. Great snorkeling just steps from the condo. Nice respite away from the crowds of Akumal and Tuluum.

We were in Xcalak when we discovered that due to Covid 19 the Canadian Government was recommending all travellers return home as soon as possible. We decided that we better head north and get closer to the Cancun Airport. We called Marcia with Akumal Direct and she graciously welcomed us back by making sure we had what we needed. Her service was as always -- FANTASTIC. We had not booked through Akumal Direct in two years as we have been travelling further south and inland in the Yucatan, yet she immediately welcomed us back and treated us like old friends. #5 needs a cutting board and when there are 4 people staying, there should be water brought up every day without having to ask for it.

Akumal is for those who need some time to reflect, reconnect with those you care about and pretty much forget about the world.Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time snorkeling and got to see several turtles which are our favorites to see. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. We also realized one of the local restaurants just down the street serves breakfast and it was really easy to walk to. The bed to my surprise was very comfortable and I slept well listening to the ocean. Like I said before this has got to be a favorite of ours and we'll defiantly look at staying here again next year.

We had a small problem w/ the key to the master being missing and not ever getting a copy to lock it while gone and the hot water and stove not being hooked up our first day. The issue about the hot water and stove was resolved very quickly.

We keep coming back to Yool Caanal 5 because of the superior view and the privacy of having the entire top floor of the building. The staff is very friendly and helpful, too!

We loved the place for many reasons, but the view was probably the best part. We also really appreciated the thoughtful, professional management and cleaning staff. Finally, the booking agents at Akumal Direct were extremely friendly and helpful. Great, great, great!

Liked this condo very much would come back again, some of the amenities needed a bit of updating(such as toaster oven,and shower) But for us it was fine. We enjoyed the privacy and location. Weve stayed in many places from Puerto Morelos-Mahahual and it worked for us! Short walk to the Lagoon, go early before tour vans.
