Breathtaking View of Half Moon Bay

My husband and I, along with my daughter, her husband and their two babies, loved our stay. The staff is friendly and professional, the views breathtaking. The location was perfect for us, quiet with nothing but the waves to lull us to sleep in very comfortable beds. The breezy location at the tip of the bay made using the air conditioners unnecessary. We would love return and enjoy this beautiful condo again. I recommend renting a golf cart if you have small ones and all the gear they need.

Lovely, Spacious Unit w/ Beautiful Views
Reviewed on 2021-07-22 by Summer D. , United StatesIt was quite hot in the main area of doing any physical activity and even open windows and fans often didn’t compensate for that. A couple of floor fans could have helped. A/C in the rooms was ice cold and the evening winds were refreshing.
The huge patio was one of my favorite spaces. Wall heights of the patio and bay view window are a bit lower than standard US so we were in on constant alert for our kids not to go too close. (They loved their stay here too with the two pools and ocean swimming out front!)
I would definitely stay here again, especially in sargasso season as it is virtually free of the seaweed!
We stayed 11 days and could have stayed longer! Everything was very comfortable and well-maintained. The views from the living room slayed me every time. The back deck was lovely to sit on in the evenings as the breeze came off the Caribbean. And Akumal itself was perfect.

Perfect graduation trip!

The snorkeling out front was great, the room was decorated to make you feel right at home - right down to books & games. Becky was able to access wireless internet from the open window facing out on the incredible view. Jenny was able to stretch out on the comfy couch & read & write with the same spectacular view. We sat in those same windows & watched the fishing boats & currents & tidal changes while sipping our morning coffee. The beach was never crowded, very low key & all of the neighbors were friendly. Hector took us out one night to check on nesting, hatching turtles. It was a perfect location for us, close to the ruins & away from the crowds. We had a wonderful time & highly recommend it.

If you are up for a bit of an adventure, you can easily walk 5 minutes to snorkel at Yalku Lagoon, a natural aquarium where a fresh water river meets an ocean inlet.
