This is a great rental unit. They do a great job communicating. They make sure the unit is in great shape and well equipped. We really liked the layout out of the 2 bedroom unit. Perfect for 4 people. Location is on nice section of beach and 10-15 min walk to restaurant area. The pricing is very reasonable. Excellent value.

My family and I stayed for 3 nights over a weekend in early June. Overall, the condo was comfortable and had what we needed. However, the currents seem to bring the sargassum in the bay right to the building. The grounds crew only cleans it up occasionally, making the beach and patio areas unusable. (Other condos on the bay clean their beaches much more frequently.) Apparently, property owners know this because we were the only people in the entire building. I realize that the management company can't control the currents, but they could have cleaned up the sargassum more regularly or been up front about the fact that the beach is unusable during the summer.

We love Half Moon Beach in Akumal. Can say enough good things about Adrian, the property manager at Luna Azul. Luna Azul was adequate but a little run down compared to other places we have stayed on Half Moon beach. Also wish you would prohibit smoking even on the balconies abs verandas. It wasn’t pleasant to sit on the beach and have all of the residents of the unite on the first floor smoking non-stop right behind me every day!

Wonderful vacation overall. Our condo #7 had issues with water, particularly hot water, but this was addressed in a very timely fashion. Akumal Direct representatives were MORE than accommodating. We would not hesitate to use their services again. Half Moon Bay is absolutely beautiful but a bit rocky.

We loved both units 7 & 8. They are both on the 4th floor so be ready to walk but that was fine with us. The views were worth it. Akumal Direct was excellent to work with, especially David Placencia. He did everything from finding us tennis courts to getting us covid tests.
Also Sunshine management was very nice, especially Alex.

we were a bit disappointed that the access into the water was rocky and not safe-I fell while trying to go into the ocean and cut my hand.After rhat incident we always drove to main Akumal beach where there is less surf and sandy access to the one had mentioned this danger to us.We had hoped to just walk from the apartment into the water...

Our stay at Luna Azul was one of my favorite vacations. It was a very relaxing week and a perfect place to spend quality time with family and friends. Very tranquil and beautiful and refreshing for the soul.

Luna Azul#7 is minimally eequiped, has plumbing problems in the kitchen & 2nd bathroom, several major leaks when it rains. Luna Azul is a good property, but this unit needs repair.

Luna Azul #7 was perfect except for lack of hot water on several occasions. We could happily overlook that for the killer view, warm sun and out-the-door snorkeling. Getting one of the cushioned chaises required going out at 7:00 am to put down a towel....I guess the "normal" procedure in beach locations?

All 16 of us, absolutely loved Akumal and Luna Azul. Javier was there when we needed him. We had a toilet issue but it was resolved promptly--no worries!! The staff at Luna Azul was amazing & sooo sweet--even though they could not speak English & we could not speak Spanish Javier was a great translator. I thought this was a regular vacation; however, my boyfriend proposed to me while in Akumal. We are SERIOUSLY considering Akumal for our wedding and will no doubt be using Akumal direct. I cannot say enough about the helpfulness of the ALL of the staff including reservations. My e-mails were answered promptly. Kelly, Lisa, and anyone I forgot...I appreciate ya'll help and look forward to working with you again!!

The view was great. The furnishings and kitchen were nice. A/C was a bit noisey but tolerable. We would go back for the view and the calm bay. You can see turtles in the water from the balcony.

Great view! We were always very impressed by the maintenance staff, not only in the suite, but also the beachfront--it was the cleanest spot on Half Moon Bay. Very convenient location-middle of the beach on Half Moon Bay. Good snorkelling, beautiful beach, comfortable and clean accomodations. Manager could barely speak English and didn't know how to dial the number to Cancun Airport, which we needed to contact due to 1 piece of baggage not arriving. That was our only complaint.

The room was beautiful and surpassed anything that I/we were expecting. The four of us had plenty of room and were not tripping all over each other. It was like a home away from home. Can't wait for next January!
