This property is right in the middle of half moon bay. Very clean. Beach chairs available. It is in a gated community with security at most condos all night. Resturaunts and bars convenient store close by with very good food. We absolutely loved our stay. 5 stars all around except the bed is hard and in the living eoom the ceiling on top floor leaks a bit but it didnt bother us at all. We would definitely come back! We dont want to leave.

This was our 2nd stay in Akumal, the first time in Luna Azul. This space is everything you need, plus more. Luna Azul is central to food, stores and even the lagoon. We rented a car for the convenience of getting around the Riviera Maya, but opted to walk through Akumal. The beach front view was absolutely breathtaking and the front/back balconies allowed for uninterrupted viewing of the sunrise/sunset. We look forward to staying here again.

Lovely top floor appartment right on the sea. A really well designed, comfortable and light space that was perfect for us as a family of four adults. Wonderful sea views from the living room and balcony, ideal for reading, relaxing, unwinding. Sleeping to the sound of the waves. Well equipped kitchen area and we cooked several meals. We didn't have a car - used bicycles and walked locally. While there are two fairly basic supermarkets in Akumal resort (and a small, handy store just opposite Luna Azul), and a fruit and vegetable shop over the bridge in Akumal village, it would have been good to stock up at a supermarket in Tulum (the direction we came from) or on the road before arrival. Drinking water is delivered to the appartment in 20l bottles free of charge. Alex and the other staff at Akumal Direct were very efficient and helpful and did a great job of looking after us and dealing with any queries. No problems with seaweed when we stayed (new year).

We had a great stay in Akumal. The property was located in a great location close to some great restaurants. the beach was great only downfall is water is a little difficult to get in due to the rock structures

Excellent stay at Luna Azul. We have stayed in another unit on that part of the beach as well. This one was in a great location! A perfect paradise right out the door. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

The property was clean and well thought out. You can't eat the location for snorkelling, swimming and beach access.
The place needs a day with a handyman to fix the minor repairs needed to the bathroom fixtures (taps, mirrors) The unit is more suitable for a family of four than two adult couples - one couple gets a bigger room with closest and the other gets a smaller room with shelves. The close proximity to restaurants and grocery was nice. Excellent view. Air conditioning works very well. The cleaners who come every day to pick up your toilet paper were good. Beds are extremely firm (mattress on a concrete slab.
The plates, cups, glasses and wine glass selection was minimal. If you broke one you have no back ups.
