Description

Nikte Ha #7 is an amazing new penthouse with wonderful views of the Caribbean Sea! This 3 bedroom luxury unit is located in the central part of Akumal's Half Moon Bay, close to La Buena Vida restaurant, and a short walk to many local amenities including Yalku Lagoon.

A great choice for families, Nikte Ha Condominiums offers modern amenities for your comfort and a central location. Nikte Ha is located on the beach of Half Moon Bay. There is a great pool and easy access to some of Akumal’s best snorkeling right front of the building.

Each unit has fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area. The units have full ocean views and ocean side terrace with dining for four. The units each have three bedrooms with lots of room for the kids to bring a friend, and still privacy for the adults. The master bedroom has a king bed an en-suite bath. Guest Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and a single sofa bed. The third bedroom is perfect for kids with a bunk bed (double and single bed) and a double trundle bed.

Akumal is a small beach community with ecologically minded locals, and two swimming bays which are the perfect home to a diversity of tropical marine life and endangered sea turtles. Akumal is located a 20 min drive from the popular resort towns of Playa del Carmen and Tulum, and just one hour south of Cancun International airport.

*Please be advised that while Nikte Ha Condominiums do have an elevator, the service is inconsistent and in no way guaranteed. Please anticipate using the stairs. Thank you!

KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.

We have a great list of activities and adventures completely unaffected by the arrival of sargasso that we would love to share with you. We stayed for a week and had a great stay in Akumal. The condo had everything we needed and we used the pool all the time. Highlight was walking on the beach outside of the condo and seeing baby turtles going out to sea.

Very happy with our stay in Akumal. The place was perfect, great balcony and views. Close to the town and a couple restaurants. Perfect little convenient store across the street with beers, food, etc. Also, 5 gallon water jug in the condo, which was very useful. Will be back. Thank you!!

Great place to stay. Pleasure to stay with AkumalDirect as they were flexible with moving our reservation to a different location. View is spectacular from this location. Only suggestion would be to add some furniture to the roof area so it can be enjoyed more but the actual condo was fantastic. Would stay here again if we make another trip!

Nikte-Ha #7 was our home for a week mid-March 2020. The condo was spectacular! We especially enjoyed watching the sunrise over the ocean each morning to the sound of the waves. The condo was exactly as described and provided ample space for 2 middle-aged parents and 2 university-aged children. We didn't take full advantage of the kitchen amenities, but what we did use (mostly just the coffee maker) worked great and seemed new. The master bed was the most comfortable I've slept on in a long while in fact! Everything was kept sparkling clean 24/7 by the super-fantastic cleaning staff who arrived en masse each morning via bicycle with smiles on their faces. Communication with Akumal Direct and Green Eyes Management was flawless, even during a global pandemic, which says alot. Akumal is an undiscovered gem! Don't let the secret out! It's not the all night party scene one might find in Playa del Carmen or Cancun, but rather a sleepy backwater town worth an evening stroll to the sound of the ocean and the occasional latin beat coming through an open window. Once the "turtle tourists" go home and the resort folks return to their resorts, you and a handful of locals will have the place to yourselves. An evening pass to enjoy the bars and restaurants and the beach at your leisure without the crowds. Don't miss La Buena Vida, Turtle Bay, Akumal Dive Shop, Lol-Ha... just a FEW of our favorites. If chillin' with an icy beverage on a beautiful beach with all around friendly folks is you're groove, don't hesitate, book it now!

This is a perfect place to stay! I was a bit nervous as it is pretty new and there were so few reviews but everything turned out perfectly. I had planned to only have six of us stay but two granddaughters showed up so we were at times 8 people. We all fit in. We really appreciated the housekeeping which is included. They just expect a $5 dollar tip which is well earned. I salute the owner for having the apartment so we kept. The view is fabulous and the beach and swimming pool are perfect. There is a grocery store right across the street which is very convenient. There are amazing massages just down the street to the right one block, good restaurants and lots of activities really really close by. The elevator for me was a great perk as I have trouble walking. If it should breakdown just call the administrator and the people come quickly. My granddaughter called me in a panic believing she had forgotten her Bose earphones when she left. I wrote to the administrator and they immediately sent someone to look for them. I was impressed. (In the end the earphones were discovered in my granddaughter's luggage.) All in all this was a great stay and I would recommend the place completely. P.S. The master bedroom is right off the main living room. I was afraid that the noise would keep me from sleeping but the sliding doors worked perfectly. I couldn't hear the television nor the conversation just on the other side and the blackout curtains were good for my privacy.

This is our third stay at this apartment and it continues to meet our expectations each time. All the amenities are as described, everything is well maintained and very clean. When we did run out of water it was delivered immediately. The daily cleaning service is always an extra bonus to our stay - staff is friendly, helpful and takes that particular task off our to-do so we can be outside doing all the things we love most.

We loved our stay at Nikte Ha Unit 7. we have stayed in Akumal a few times and would definitely return. Breathtaking 180 degree views of Caribbean / Half Moon Bay. Watch the sunrise right from your balcony (also Venus rising at night/early morning). Primary bedroom is right off the balcony too so you are lulled to sleep at night by the soothing sounds of the ocean waves. Modernized condo with 3 nice bedrooms, each with their own full bathroom, was great set up for our family + parent in law - we were able to all stay together and have our own space. There’s also a W/D - you provide soap. The oceanside pool was a must for our family with kids who want to swim and parents who want to be at the beach! Snorkel right off the shore, easy walk to La Buena Vida, La Lunita restaurants or the new coffee stand (open mornings only). Directly across from Midway food market for any incidental needs. Maid service was excellent. Pool cleaned each morning. Highly recommend Yal Ku lagoon for incredible variety of fish and you can arrange with the Akumal Dive Shop to swim with sea turtles. We hired Chef Daveed chef service to come into the room and make dinner which was delicious and a highlight. David at Akumal Direct helped so much in arranging tours, grocery order, recommendations - whatever you need. This is truly a place where you can get away from it all and everyone is so helpful with your stay. Akumal is a very special place. Half Moon Bay is your choice if you like it a little quieter and you have the option to go into town for more action.

We loved our experience in Akumal. I did find it very confusing that Nikte and Nikte Ha are different buildings (though they are next door to each other). We thought we were booking a room next to our friends, both on the 3rd floor but we were in different buildings. This would not have been a big deal if they elevators were working, but they weren't. One of our party was trapped in one elevator and had to call for a rescue, and the other elevator stopped working after our first day. We aren't wimps, but carrying luggage up and down 4 flights of stairs is quite difficult. Basically, we loved this property, the pools are nice and the beach is right there! But I wouldn't rent again if they don't maintain the elevator. The concierge was responsive via email, but not able to help us with this issue. I recommend getting a golf cart. The other thing to know is that this unit was cleaned daily and the lady was very nice. Know a little spanish and bring pesos, this is not a place where you can expect people to speak English or take credit cards.

We had an amazing experience vacationing at Nikte Ha in Unit 7. We had a lovely view from the top floor. The space and service was nothing short of spectacular. House keeping came every day to help us keep the unit clean and replace our fresh water. The pool was wonderful and if you're into snorkeling, the beach in front of the condo is a 1 minute walk from the pool. The entire bay is open for hours of a safe, snorkeling experience.

On the food side, the rental is a 10 minute walk to two wonderful restaurants. La Lunita and Buena Vida with more in town.

I would highly recommend staying at Nikte Ha.

Amazing location. Easily accessible, 24 hour gated security, in a quiet residential strip. Unit was large, spacious, well equipped, and offered all the amenities a family would need. Pool which could be seen from the unit's terraces, front line beach location, a little convenience store just across from the rear of the building, beach towels, bath towels, drinking water, etc. Perfect! A/C thru out the condo, with each room offering the ability to regulate temperature. Beds were high standard and incredibly comfortable. Akumal beach and swimming with the turtles was a stones throw away, as were restaurants offering a variety of cuisine. Travelled with Mrs and 4 kids. All had more than enough space, and three bathrooms made life easier. Hermit crabs could be seen crawling around the pool at night, and the pool was clean and a perfect size for kids to play.

We are Marriott Vacation Club owners, and this Condo as good or better than any MVC unit. I love the view of the ocean from the master and living area. It was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, the beach was full of sargassum but it was to be expected because of the season. Thank you Akumal Direct, we had a great stay!

The unit was beautiful and very clean. It was great to have an elevator. The view was great. The only things I would add is a night stand in the third bedroom(trundle) and a couple of chairs and small table on the balcony of that bedroom.

Nikita Ha #7 was a great condo. Very clean and comfortable. Staff did an excellent job. Specifically Susana our made was outstanding. Was nice being across from a small store where essentials could be found. Definitely recommend pre-renting a golf cart or plan on a mile walk to the main center and a dark walk back after dinner. We always felt safe when we did walk.

Nice modern property and good layout. One of the younger buildings in Half Moon Bay. Easy walk to restaurants or to Akumal. Clean and well serviced, responsive property management. Only small gripe was cheap patio furniture, no loungers, and minimally stocked with glasses, kitchen utensils etc. but certainly would recommend.

Nikte Ha Condo Unit 7 was perfectly located on Half Moon bay, north Akumal. We were within walking distance of Yal ku lagoon and two great restaurants both right on the beach. Nikte Ha’s pool and beach area are very nice and relaxing. We also had a balcony with a great view. Our condo was cleaned everyday with the beds made by a maid that came through. It was also quiet there as well. We fell asleep to the sound of the surf every night. Great sleeping spaces for the kids and plenty of bathrooms.

The condo manager was extremely helpful arranging for a doctor to come to the condo to do our required COVID testing. We got our results right away, emailed to us, before she left.

Everything was as it was pictured, beautiful place, very nice area.
Although it was a little disappointing that we did not have the rooftop patio/ Terrace that it indicated in the description of the rental— we had access but it was under construction no furniture no hot tub just empty.
Also one other little thing which was a big thing the hot water—- gettig hot water was like a jigsaw puzzle you had to turn it on to hot turn it off turn it on to hot turn it off turn it on the hot water again for the third time to get hot water but then when you did get hot water it was scolding hot it was never consistent where you could regulate it to just be warm in your shower.
It was very nice that we could just go to the office and get bike rentals right there also there’s a little store right across the street from the residence which was very convenient had a great variety of different things that you could purchase and their price was fair in the aspect if you went into town it was the same cost so that was very nice and very convenient.
As I said above there were a couple hiccups but hiccups happen and those hiccups did not affect and do not affect our opinion of the place which our opinion is loved it loved it loved it. We will definitely be back����������

We had a wonderful time at Nikte-Ha! The condo was clean and well maintained. David in the concierge office was a tremendous help with scheduling transfers and activities! The only down side was the Sargasso seaweed on the beach, but not much can be done about that. The pool was a welcome benefit. We will visit again at a different time of year!
