Description

U Nah Kin, "House of the Sun" in Mayan, offers 1 and 2 bedroom condos on Aventuras Akumal. This Bay is popular for its gorgeous stretch of white sand beach which also makes it attractive for turtles to nest there. Aventuras Akumal beach is one of the nicest on the coast and a well kept secret, it's normally a quieter bay than others. Akumal is just a few miles drive north where you can find restaurants and other services.

U Nah Kin #1 - The two bedroom condo has a king bed in the master and king in the guestroom to accommodate up to 4 people plus one more on the queen sized futon in the living room. The second bedroom has a lockable connecting door to the main bedroom and also has its own exterior door for extra privacy. The upper second bedrooms each have a small balcony overlooking the tropical gardens to the rear and the mayan jungle beyond. The one bedroom condo has a king bed for 2 people and also the futon in the living room.

Each bedroom has a private bath and air conditioning. Each condo has a fully equipped kitchen and sitting room with Satellite TV and stereo. The units are bright, there are glass sliding doors which open onto private terraces and the beach.

The beach area has beach and lounge chairs, and patio furniture and hammocks for your enjoyment. There is also a grill provided, and kayaks to enjoy the bay.

Cozy little condo, but the beach was the best part. Quiet neighborhood and sand coming right up to the patio was fantastic! Two couples escaping the snow enjoyed sun and snorkeling from our door.

This is the third time we've stayed here and absolutely love it! Aventuras Akumal has the best beach in the area with practically no traffic. U Nah Kin has plenty of beachfront shaded lounging areas under its many palm trees. Plus, The Beached Bikini snack bar has delicious tacos, burgers and margs, AND it is only a couple of doors away.

We totally enjoyed our stay in U-Nah-Kin #1. It’s a little ways off the highway but that didn’t bother us one bit. The property manager Marcy is a great communicator and always available. A water truck took out the power line. We were without power for most of the day so we went 2 miles north to Jungle Fish for lunch, drinks and a dip in their pool . Marcy was on it and kept in touch throughout the duration. Suemi did a wonderful job cleaning and even did a load of laundry for us (we paid her $5 US). Geraldo made sure the grounds and patio were always clean. He offered to wash our rental car at no charge but we paid him $10 US anyway. The security guard was on site every night. You’ll walk through the first bedroom in order to get to the 2nd bedroom (through a lockable door). 2nd bdrm also has a separate entrance to the outside hallway. The view of the Caribbean Sea is spectacular. Soft sandy beaches. The water in front of the condo is rocky so bring water shoes. You can walk south about 75 yards where there is little to no rocks.
The condo is situated in a perfect area. Akumal is just 3 miles north full of restaurants, bars & shops. Tulum is 10 miles south offering the same on a larger scale plus the Mayan Ruins. There is the Bikini Beach Bar/Restaurant 2 doors down which made for a convenient lunch, dinner or a few drinks! Try the nachos and a mango jalapeño margarita! We will be back!!

The best vacations, everything was great as always this is the 4 time in the condo we had a great time
The only thing that I would say is to have softer pillows ( to give another option )

It was a really comfortable, really amazing stay. The place has everything you need for an extended visit - coffeemaker, big toaster oven, microwave, stovetop, and all imaginable cooking and serving wares. The place had two sit-on-top kayaks available for use. It was a great stay. We were there at a good time of year with low sea grass counts. This stretch of beach is about the best possible to avoid the piles of sargasso.
