Although there are more adventure parks, these five are the most visited by Americans. Before we start telling you the differences, we will leave you with some things that they all have in common:

  1. They all belong to Grupo Xcaret, so you can trust that they will meet the safety and quality standards of a large company with a lot of experience.

  2. They are located in Quintana Roo.

  3. You can get to them with transportation included by the company, by private car or by public transport.

  4. All can be purchased online through its website, directly at the box office, or by phone.

Now yes, here we briefly tell you what each one is about and what makes them special.

Xcaret

Xcaret Park is the largest, the most popular, and also the one that will take you all day to visit. It has enough activities to keep you in awe from 8:30 am to 9 pm, with a mix of aquatic, cultural, adventure, and nature lover activities.

  • What you cannot miss at Xcaret is:

  • Swim in one of its three underground rivers.

  • Visit the Aviary and the Butterfly Farm

  • See the sea turtles in the Aquarium

  • A walk through the Mayan Village

  • The Equestrian Show with charros and skirmishes

  • The Museum of Mexican Popular Art

  • The night show Xcaret México Espectacular

On this last point, it is worth commenting that it is the best Mexican show you are going to see. In two hours they show you live music, dance, and light on the history of Mexico from pre-Hispanic times to the present. You can see a Mayan ball game, the dance of the old men, Papantla flyers, mariachis, and much more.

Xplor

Xplor Park is very popular for its zip lines since it has the longest and most fun in the destination, however, it also has other adventure activities that make it a great experience. If you like caves, you will be very happy here since, in addition to walking through many of them, it has two completely closed underground rivers, one in which you swim and the other in which you row a raft between stalactites and stalagmites.

As if that were not enough, it also has one of the most fun adventure activities: driving amphibious cars through the Mayan jungle. This tour will make you feel like you're in a Jurassic Park movie (but without the dinosaurs), it's well worth it.

Something important that you should know about Xplor is that it has the option for you to choose to do all these activities but at night! There is the Xplor Fuego version that opens from 5:30 pm and closes until 11 pm.

Xenses

Xenses Park is the smallest of all, but also one of the most fun. This place promises that you will see and do things for the first time in your life such as walking through Pueblo upside down, going through a Xensatorium in complete darkness, swimming in a river of mud, and much more. It is a half-day park, it has two schedules, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and admission includes all activities, but not food.

Xavage

This is the newest adventure park in the Riviera Maya, and probably also the most extreme and fun. Unlike the other Grupo Xcaret parks, this one is located in Cancun, very close to the airport. One of its main attractions is the artificial rafting river where you can learn to row as a team and navigate various levels of rapids like an expert. It also has a ropes course with different levels of height and difficulty designed for everyone to experience, an obstacle course that is traversed in Monster Trucks, and many one-of-a-kind activities.

Xel-Ha

And last but not least, there's Xel-Há, known as the Natural Wonder for its unparalleled beauty and geographical characteristics. This park consists mainly of a huge cove that connects an underground river and freshwater cenotes with the Caribbean Sea. In this beautiful space, you can snorkel unlimitedly, do adventure activities or relax and float on an inflatable tire.

Something that many people enjoy about Xel-Há is that it is all-inclusive, both the activities and buffet restaurants and the international open bar of alcoholic beverages. This park opens from 9 am to 5:30 pm and is located in Tulum, very close to Akumal.

As you can see, even though they are all from the company, these parks are very different. Which one would you like to go to first?
