Playa Caribe 7 is a professionally decorated third-floor condo in Half Moon Bay’s north tower. With two bedrooms and two private balconies, it sleeps six comfortably. The oceanfront terrace offers stunning Caribbean views, while daily housekeeping, pool access, and concierge services provide ease throughout your stay.

Inside the Residence

This residence is designed for guests who appreciate light and space. The Master Suite features a king bed, ensuite bath, and private balcony. The second bedroom has two double beds, ensuite bath, and its own balcony overlooking the jungle. Central AC ensures comfort throughout.

The living and dining areas are bright and welcoming, opening to a large terrace where the ocean feels just steps away. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals, with plenty of space for dining at home. Professionally styled décor creates a polished, modern feel with warm Caribbean accents.

Ideal for couples, families, or friends traveling together, Playa Caribe 7 offers both privacy and connection, with balconies for quiet moments and shared spaces for gathering.

Access & Amenities

Guests have access to the furnished oceanfront terrace, swimming pool, loungers, BBQ grill, and outdoor shower. Included amenities are daily housekeeping, concierge support, purified water, parking, beach towels, and 24-hour security.

About the Surroundings

Half Moon Bay is a secure north Akumal neighborhood, known for snorkeling and calm beachfront. The condo is walkable to Yal Ku Lagoon, Akumal Bay, shops, and restaurants. For day trips to ruins, cenotes, and nearby towns, a rental car or private driver is recommended.

Half Moon Bay’s reef means water shoes are recommended for swimming. Playa Caribe is a non-smoking property known for its excellent service and comfort. Daily housekeeping service is provided. Parking, beach towels, and purified water are provided. No elevator.

KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.

The Riviera Maya is full of natural beauty, places to explore and opportunities for outdoor activities. We have a great list of activities and adventures completely unaffected by the arrival of sargasso that we would love to share with you. There is so much to see and do in this special place, we know that you will have an amazing and memorable vacation!

We recently stayed at Playa Caribe #7 in Akumal, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The condo was exactly as described—spacious, perfectly situated, and beautifully decorated with a warm, coastal feel that instantly made us feel at home. The property was spotless and clearly well-maintained, with every detail cared for. The pool and common areas were just as clean and inviting, offering a refreshing escape throughout the day. The staff was incredibly helpful, kind, and responsive, making everything feel effortless and welcoming. I would go back in a heartbeat and have already recommended it to friends and family—this is the kind of place you want to return to again and again. We spent our days snorkeling in the calm waters of Akumal Bay just steps from the condo, swimming in the pool, exploring nearby cenotes, and enjoying delicious meals at local favorites like La Buena Vida and Turtle Bay Bakery. The area is peaceful, charming, and relaxing, with just the right mix of activities and downtime. I absolutely love this area and try to visit as often as I can—Playa Caribe #7 made this trip especially memorable and truly felt like a home away from home.

Everything was wonderful. The only thing, that was out of the property owner's control, was the sargasso. Not sure how the area is going to deal with that, but it really impacts accessibility to the ocean. It was the only thing that was disappointing. Everything else was fabulous.

Playa Caribe was amazing. Communication prior to arrival was very prompt and helpful. The manager on site, Augustin, was so kind. He was always asking if we were good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our unit was well stocked, super clean, and beautifully maintained. The beds were SO comfortable. I’ve never slept better in a rental. We were walking distance into Akumal Bay and Yal ku. The beach area is plenty big and had nice areas to lounge. The pool was large enough for our kids, and never too busy. We would absolutely return to Playa Caribe!

Rooms have an amazing view with a sunrise view that is fabulous. Rooms were very clean and our service was impeccable. Pool was enjoyable with great sunlight. My only negative comment would be to clean the beach daily. We picked up alot of trash and placed it up by the wall and let them know. It wasnt plicked up for 2 days. There was little sargassum, but still could have been cleaned up. They just moved it around. The beaches next door in either side were cleaned daily.

We loved this property. The condo looks just like it does in the pictures. The view of the ocean from the porch is perfect for morning coffee drinking and contemplating the meaning of life and the sunshine pours into the living room kitchen on bright days making it the most glorious glowy place to start your day. Staff was very accommodating and responsive.

The place was great, so beautiful right on the bay. The condo was clean and well stocked. The water got to Luke warm for the shower but with the heat outside it was not bad. We have 4 kids and the 6 of us were very comfortable. Plus games for the kids. I wish the seaweed was cleaned up more often but that is normal for the area.

Loved our 2nd time staying in Playa Caribe in Akumal. A pool and snorkeling right outside your door is great and only about a mile walk into town. Best onion rings ever at Turtle Bay Cafe! Our unit had everything - lots of towels, blender, juicer, coffeemaker, storage containers, good knives, hair dryers, coolers an even some sunscreen. Not crazy about the tons of Sargasso seaweed. It really got heavy on the shore towards the end of our week much earlier in the season than expected - it doesn't stick to you & the water is great once you get beyond the seaweed. Think of it as a free skin exfoliation treatment.hehehe. Playa Caribe staff was super nice and helpful, too.

We've stayed in Akulmal 4 times now and Playa Caribe was, by far, the nicest condo. Perfectly situated in the middle of Half Moon Bay, walking distance to the lagoon, La Buena Vida and La Lunita restaurants and right near the little convenience mart. Condo #7, where we stayed, was beautifully appointed, immaculate and the view was outstanding. The staff was so friendly and helpful too! Did not want to leave!!!

Well maintained, well stocked, nicely furnished condo in a lovely location! The main suggestions for improvement to the condo would be to add blackout draperies for bedrooms and a handrail for the steps in the building. An elevator would make it more likely that we would return. The staff, cleaning crew, and security were all professional and pleasant.

We love the Akumal area and this was our first staying at Playa Caribe. The condo was beautifully done and had all the amenities that we needed. It was great to have the on-site manager available for anything we needed. We were able to have our pre-travel Covid test done right at the property. The building and the grounds are very well maintained. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

The room and accommodations were above expectations - and those expectations were high to begin with. The rooms were spotless, the kitchen well stocked, the staff was fantastic to communicate with and responsive to requests. They all went above and beyond to make sure our stay was absolutely top notch. Pool and beach were well maintained, the golf cart we rented was fun, the tour they arranged for us with JP for a Cenote was the highlight of our trip. I would definitely stay here again.

Playa Caribe is an amazing two bedroom rental! You wake up every morning with the sunrise right out your window. The property management team is friendly, accommodating and caring. The unit is clean and inviting. There is a beautiful cross breeze that moves through the unit when you choose to keep the sliding doors open. You also have the option of AC which keeps everyone cool and happy. The kitchen is fully stocked. It has every kitchen appliance you would want to use for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is free parking with the unit. You are walking distance to great restaurants, stores and shopping. Thank you for a wonderful holiday stay.

Gorgeous location and gorgeous condo. It was so well equipped that it had what you might need before you even knew uou needed it. We traveled with our two teen girls and enjoyed every second of it. Bedding and towels were luxurious. Staff so helpful. Sunrise yoga and coffee on the front balcony overlooking the ocean and a drink on the back deck watching the sun set over the jungle in the evening. Did not want to leave. This was our 4th trip to akumal, first stay at this rental and we will be back for sure. Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise with us.
