17 km south of Tulum lies another great cenote for advanced divers - Angelita, which translates to "Little Angel". Angelita is surrounded by a lush jungle and is 200 feet (60 m) deep.
What is so special about this cenote is a river running underwater through/at the bottom of the cenote! This magical "cloud" appears because of the mixing of fresh and salt water, where the denser water sinks to the bottom of the cenote.
Angelita is open every day of the week from 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM.
