Description

What could be more ideal for a great vacation than being on a beautiful tropical beach like Soliman Bay, in a romantic house rental, and all you have to do is chill, or walk out on the sand, slap on some sunscreen, tan a bit, and do a little snorkeling and kayaking? With three air-conditioned bedrooms and an air-conditioned living room, this beach villa is comfortable any time of year. There is a fourth bedroom in a separate guest house, when you need a little more space.

The lower level Casa Palmeras is an open concept. The beachside patio is fully furnished, shady, and an outdoor grilling area is among the coconut palms for cookouts. Inside, the house’s main living space has an L shaped couch, a large coffee table surrounded by several chairs. Across from the living room is a dining area that seats six. Just behind it is a raised breakfast counter that separates the dining room from the fully equipped kitchen.

On the second level are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with two queens. Both have a private bathroom and access to a furnished upper-level terrace that looks toward the beach.

Up a flight of stairs is the rooftop bedroom suite, very private, and it has a great panoramic view. This suite has a king size bed, sitting area, ocean view and a jungle side private terrace for the sunset. This is a lovely private bedroom, rather romantic with a palapa roof overhead, AC, and private bathroom.
Outdoors Find More Great Vacation Amenities
The swimming pool is on the beach side of the house and has a shaded patio with dining table and chairs, and a wooden deck with chaise lounges and other furnishings. A little closer to the beach is a built-in grill.

For beachside comforts, there are chaise lounges, two palapas for shade umbrella, sea kayaks, and general bliss on Soliman Bay. Inquire about this beachfront vacation house rental that sleeps up to 10 people!

Second time staying in Solimon Bay. Great location about a 15 mins drive from downtown Tulum. Quiet area bay with quiet calm waters where you can easily swing out to small coral formations for decent snorkeling. This house was super comfortable with good AC, if needed. Not too fancy if you want to bring kids and not worry too much. But clean and well supplied and lovely. Bedrooms had great view of oceanfront. All had their own bottled water supply as well. Lots of public areas to lounge or dine. Cool dipping pool cuz ocean is warm! House caretakers Noe and Elizabeta were darling. Super helpful and sweet. Elizabeta cooked dinner for us 2 of the nights, with enough food leftovers for lunch and dinner the next night. A great deal! Ceviche, guacamole, shrimp skewers on the grill and empanadas were yummy. And the flan! There were kayaks and life jackets in spite for our use, and lounge chairs at poolside and under beachfront palapas. Also highly recommend the in-store massage. Massage women set up tables on the deck where the breeze passes through. Divine! Just ask Noe and he will set it up. Would definitely come back here again. There are more luxe places on this bay, but we liked the chill factor and not having to worry if we sat in the couch in our swimsuit. Owners did a great job with decor in that respect. And decent Wi-Fi reception too!

We had an amazing stay at Casa Palmeras. The location is truly paradise, and the villa is top-notch. Big living areas, large bedrooms, and amazing outdoor space--the house is set back from the beach just a little farther than the others, and the palm trees provide shade and privacy. The kayaks are brand new and there are PFDs at the house to help keep everyone safe. While snorkeling, we saw a ton of fish, manta rays, turtles, and beautiful reef/coral. Soliman Bay is special in that it has a protective reef around the outside, so the waves don't break on the shore here. That meant we could take our 5-year-old swimming and snorkeling with ease. The water is shallow and not rocky...it's really one of the nicest beaches I've ever been to.

The real highlight of Casa Palmeras, though, are the caretakers Noe and Elizabeth. They are genuinely some of the kindest people I've ever met and kept the house in perfect shape both inside and out. Raking the beach and the grounds, cleaning the house/kitchen/bedrooms/bathrooms, and making us dinner. By the second day, they weren't the caretakers, they were truly our friends and felt like a part of our family. They are phenomenal cooks, and if you have the chance, I highly recommend the shrimp skewers and pollo pibil. And the flan...my god, the flan. Elizabeth makes the best flan I've ever had. We ate at Pandano one night (five-star restaurant down the beach) and the flan there paled in comparison.

If Casa Palmeras works for your group, I'd book it without a second thought. We will be back for sure--it was an unforgettable experience.

Casa Palmeras is a wonderful place to vacation. The house is roomy and very comfortable. The outdoor spaces are nicely landscaped and well maintained. The beach is beautiful and the bay is large and calm for swimming. We also enjoyed the kayaks and snorkeling. The caretaker and housekeeper are very friendly and helpful - we arranged for them to make dinners which were a delicious treat. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and the only issue was a leaky water line under the sink which the caretaker arranged to have fixed the next day. Akumal Direct was helpful, efficient and very responsive when we had questions.

Since staying at this house I have sent the link to SO many people because I can’t stop raving about our trip. The house is clean and nice, the beds are comfortable. It’s such a great setup for a big family our group because it has a large dining table inside and out, and large sofas also inside and out. The pool and private beach make it so fun and easy for kids, with shady lounge spots near both of them for the parents to lounge. There are kayaks and (if you bring your own stuff - even goggles alone) there’s great snorkeling right outside your door too. The most unexpected perk of the house was the staff thought. There are housekeepers to help with dishes, cleaning, sand sweeping, etc to make it so you don’t have to worry or clean and can truly relax and enjoy your time. We had them cook dinner for us too and it was incredible. They are the sweetest couple and felt like family. It’s within a gated community so it is very safe feeling. Also, they have a concierge service who will help you with any activities you’re interested in (touring ruins, exploring Cenotes - a must!, etc.) They had great info and recommendations. We didn’t partake but they also offered to arrange in home spa services. And the house staff will do your laundry for a small fee if needed. It was. A dreamy spot and I can’t wait to go back! Thank you so much!

There were 4 couples who enjoyed this lovely slice of paradise. 3 bedrooms in the main house and a separate guesthouse. The guesthouse faces the street and does get some traffic noise and no view of the ocean. All beds and pillows were very comfortable. The main house and grounds were kept immaculate as well as the guest house. Plenty of outdoor seating and the ocean is just steps away. Truly a slice of heaven on earth. Noa and Elizabeth were the care takers and cooked us some fabulous meals...I highly recommend the shrimp kabobs and the empanadas! They worked hard every day cleaning, providing fresh linens, and grounds keeping. They also made arrangements for massages for 5 of us at the house which was perfect. We enjoyed the kayaks, we brought our own snorkel gear and enjoyed seeing the reefs and beautiful fish. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was lovely, with large air conditioned bedrooms (and all spaces), very clean, and nicely appointed, but not too fancy you'd worry about bringing kids there. The dipping pool was lovely, and lounge chairs there and out beachside under palapas. Decent snorkeling right out front. Caretakers Noe and Elizabeth were darling, super helpful but not intrusive. Elizabeta made 2 delicious meals for us which lasted through lunch and dinner the next day. Fresh bottled water tanks in each bedroom and kitchen, which was well stocked. Also highly recommend the massages, on-site. Ask Noe and he will arrange! Sadly the beach along the bay has far more trash on it than when I was there 6 years ago. Caretakers clean up the portion in front of the house, but not great beach walking due to the trash.

We absolutely loved our stay and had the most wonderful experience! Elisabeth and Noe were the sweetest caretakers, did cleaning, supplied fresh towels every day, and even did our laundry (I paid her extra even though she said no charge) ALSO they cooked for us 3 nights and I wish we had had them cook for us every night, it was INCREDIBLE! Sooo delicious! They made us pollo pibil, steak, homemade empanadas, shrimp, etc etc. nothing like getting home from a day out at Cenotes to the smell of delicious dinner cooking. We just loved the house, the beach was pristine, and everything felt very safe. We will be coming back! Thank you!

This was the perfect place for our family vacation. We are a family of 5, with 3 kids under 11 and the 2 bedrooms on the second floor were plenty for us. If you had another guest they would have been very comfortable in the 3rd floor apartment, but that only has access via the deck so we kept the kids inside. Next time we will just bring someone else to enjoy the space!

Regarding the beach, it was beautiful and peaceful. The sand was very soft and we loved snorkeling, swimming, building sand castles, climbing the coconut trees, sea kayaking, lounging, reading and taking beach walks.

Noe and Elizabeth are the caretakers and they are wonderful. They made us dinner everyday, kept the house clean, raked the beach and cleaned up the seaweed (which was not very bad at all during our stay). I would highly recommend using their cooking services. I would suggest waiting to order meals until you get there so you can discuss your dining needs, how much food to prepare, etc. They like 1 day notice - bring cash. If you are arriving early afternoon and are not driving yourself I would recommend asking them to prepare a lunch in advance. There are a couple restaurants but they are quite a walk form the house. Regarding groceries, we used a food stocking service - Riviera Maya Groceries. They were very accommodating but I would ask the taxi driver to stop and pick up some drinks and snacks at the gas station before you arrive since its possible your groceries won't be there until late afternoon.

We were there in mid-March 2020, the week that the Coronavirus hit so unfortunately we had to cut our stay short to get back to the states. However we can/t wait to go back again! As I said this was the perfect place for our family. I have been to Mexico a lot but never before to Soliman Bay. If you want a lot of people and a resort vibe this is not for you, but if you want a gorgeous beach with peace and quiet I would check this place out. Make sure to say hi to

House is amazing, caretakers are PHENOMENAL!
