Description

Your private sanctuary on one of Akumal’s best beaches, La Bahia 2 is located on Half Moon Bay, a pristine beach with great snorkeling that's only a short walk from many of the local restaurants and boutiques. This is a bright and comfortable first floor unit where getting to the beach is as easy as stepping off your private patio and digging your toes into the sand.

Inside, La Bahia 2 feels as tranquil as the bay itself with lots of natural light and hues of blue. This unit has two bedrooms that each have ensuite bathrooms and in-room AC units. The guest bedroom has been furnished with a king bed which can also be set up as two twins and the master has been furnished with a king bed. The master bedroom has also been fitted with grand doors that open up to the rest of the home and add to La Bahia 2’s spacious open concept design.

The kitchen, dining, and living areas have been designed to feel like one cohesive space with gorgeous tropical views as the focal point. The full size kitchen has been recently upgraded with a sleek new granite countertop and is equipped with everything you may need to be as good of a home chef as you were before you left. Off of the kitchen, the living area is surrounded by large windows and a pair of sliding glass doors that can be opened to access the unit’s patio. The patio has been furnished with a small sitting area perfect for enjoying a cup of morning coffee or dining al fresco.

Whether you’re dreaming of hours of relaxation or nonstop action, Half Moon Bay is a place where you can set the pace and choose your own adventure.

KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.

The Riviera Maya is full of natural beauty, places to explore and opportunities for outdoor activities. We have a great list of activities and adventures completely unaffected by the arrival of sargasso that we would love to share with you. There is so much to see and do in this special place, we know that you will have an amazing and memorable vacation!

Excellent location in Akumal behind the gates in Half Moon Bay. Condo is directly on the beach, ocean front. Beautiful views from the main living areas. There are multiple restaurants within Half Moon Bay. As well as entrance to Yal-Ku Cenote. Not the host or owners fault, but there was quite a bit of seaweed when we went.

The condo and its location were just spectacular. The word that comes to mind is Zen. The Pueblo is minutes away and there are many good restaurants nearby as well. My only suggestion would be a full length mirror somehwere in one of the bedrooms or bathrooms. This condo was as close to perfection as we could imagine!

We loved our stay in Akumal. The location was amazing (right on the beach) and the view was impressive. The condo had everything we needed and when something was working, the staff fixed it straight away. Our lil Frenchie loved it the most - he was a happy furbaby just sitting in the sand and watching all the hermit crabs! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Very enjoyable stay at this unit which was as advertised on their site. The patio opens up directly onto the beach, and despite many nearby condos there it was fairly private. Would recommend this unit to others

The pictures do not do this place justice. You can watch the sunrise every morning while laying in bed. You are so close to the ocean the sounds of the waves crashing sooth you to sleep. The staff, the amenities, just everything was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend.

It was one of our best vacation stays. Excellent location. This section of half moon bay was perfect. Really liked the daily cleaning service as the condo would get sandy everyday. It was great that the condo provided drinking water. Will surely come back again.

This unit was ground level with an incredible view. There was construction next door and the first two days we were awoken by the sound of hack hammers. Management spoke to the contractor so the 3rd day there was silence in the morning The cleaning staff and grounds keepers were extremely friendly and did a great job.

La Bahia 2 was a great spot to stay to explore Akumal. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful in arranging tours and transportation. (Thanks Adrian!). The condo itself was immaculate. We loved going to bed listening to the ocean and the view can’t be beat.

amazing view to wake up and go to sleep by. The people who help out there are so accessible, pleasant and always available. Loved having a kitchen and walking a block down to Buena Vida for lunch or dinner. We also loved the beach at Akumal bay and enjoyed making that a daily stroll. We will be back!

You walk right out onto the beach from this condo which can't be beat in terms of location. Akumal is a great place to stay and Half Moon Bay is charming with a quiet, chill vibe. Plenty to do with cenotes to go swimming in, and different beaches - there is less rocky beach in Akumal itself. And there are massages on the beach in South Akumal. Tulum is just down the road for the amazing ruins, and other shops and restaurants. Our favourite cenote is Azul 10 minutes north of Azumal Playa. Great for kids and adults.

We have stayed in many of the properties on Half Moon Bay frequently. This was our latest trip in the year and it was hotter. Sargassum is also a huge problem. It seems like the condos are getting less well-equipped than they used to be - we cook a lot of our own meals and had to improvise quite a bit. AC also was pretty limited. We still had a good time and love Akumal.
