This place was really lovely, the sea breeze at night lulled us right to sleep.  snorkeling right out in the bay was wonderful. it isbon the second floor and up a tight se5 of 10 stairs or so - the groundskeeper was very kind to help us haul up luggage when we arrived!

Super cute Airbnb right on the water. Apartment was perfect and very clear and comfy. It’s a hike from the main entrance to the town, so suggest renting a bike once you arrive there (biking everywhere was easy) and the hosts were so helpful in helping me get everything I needed :) def recommend.

We loved this little place!! It was perfect for the 2 of us! We were coming and going so this was an ideal landing spot. The sunrise views were amazing! The security guard was kind and helpful when we could not get the door to lock. The gentleman at the check in was very professional. The grounds were kept clean and the parking was close. This area is adorable and we felt very safe! Unfortunately we were not able to swim or snorkel in Half Moon Bay but saw many people who did! We will definitely return!

Cannot imagine a better stay in Akumal. This second floor unit had beautiful views of Half Moon Bay, and it's mid-bay location provided access to Yal-ku, La Lunita, Jungle Cafe, and La Buena Vida. Great snorkeling just steps from the condo. The condo felt like it was brand new, having been recently remodeled, and was well stocked with everything I needed. Joel at the front desk was super accommodating, and the housekeepers kept the unit in tip top shape throughout my stay. The bed was very comfortable. Loved every minute of my stay here and would not hesitate to recommend to a single person or couple for an Akumal vacation.

Seamless from reservation to check out. Staff is on site and totally attentive to your needs with out being overbearing. The unit was spotless and all the kitchen items were high quality. One small complaint would be the water pressure, but after numerous trips to Akumal, that is not unusual.10/10 would stay there again.

This was our 2nd stay at La Joya. Years ago stayed in #1. The service is just as a good or better than our last trip. The condo was freshly updated and nice bright colors. Very comfortable and safe. The staff is very helpful. We rented bikes for our 11 night stay as we didn't have a car. We didn't take any day trips this time and just relaxed on the beach. I would stay here again.

We recently enjoyed a 10 day stay in this wonderful unit. It was very nicely furnished and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. Comfortable bed. Everything was very clean with attentive service. Gorgeous view from the balcony. Nice pool and beach area. Just a short walk to the little convenience store, a little hike into town but doable. And just a short walk to happy hour at La Buena Vida. Highly recommend this unit. Can’t wait until our next stay!

Absolutely wonderful! Perfect for my wife and I- we will surely return. Clean condo, great staff. We like to cook for ourselves, so I would recommend on update to the knife set (very dull) and to the pots and pans. But that's trivial compared to the comfort, beautiful ocean view, direct access to great snorkling- all in a very safe, gated neighbor hood.

The only problem we had was internet never worked. Netflix couldn’t load or if it did it would have to reload numerous times during a movie.
Took hours to load to even start a movie. Don’t use smart tv and Netflix as an amenity. It’s NOT!

We were really impressed with our stay at La Joya. We snorkeled for up to 4 hours a day and there was tons to explore. Great reefs and marine variety just steps into the ocean. We were blessed with great weather and calm waters for our January trip, but I was glad to have a shorty wetsuit as it would have gotten a bit cold in the water without it. The room was beautiful, festive with fantastic views and may have been the cleanest room we have rented for awhile. They even did the dishes we hadn't gotten to when they cleaned the room for the day. I highly recommend getting around by bike so you don't have to worry about parking if going into Akumal bay. Everything was much closer by bike than I expected. Great time and wonderful stay!

It was a great condo. The price was excellent, it was right on the beach and a close walk to town and nearby restaurants. Great stay all around.

Clear timely communication from the management company. The building is well maintained and the staff is great. Cleaning every day, pool and beach are maintained and cleaned daily as well. The beach in front of our building was the CLEANEST in all of Half Moon Bay. The unit is well appointed, comfortable bed, updated shower, but the rest of the unit shows signs of aging. The kitchen is tiny but well equipped. There is no laundry on premises. I was told that to do laundry you have to go into town (across a bridge over 307 highway). Absence of laundry facility was the biggest negative for me as we stayed for a week. Overall we enjoyed the stay!

Thanks Yuliya! So glad to know you found the beach, property and staff great during your stay at La Joya #4. Do let us know when you're ready for another trip to Riviera Maya, we'll gladly help you plan another relaxing vacation! Maybe one with more accessible laundry services ;)

We loved our time at La Joya. It was a great location! Loved that we were walking distance to the restaurants at Half Moon Bay. The staff was very accommodating. The mini-super down the road was convenient and we bought groceries to cook in the well appointed kitchen.

Super cute condo with spectacular views!
