Description

At a Glance

Perfect for couples, Casita Natasha combines value and comfort in Akumal’s Half Moon Bay. This studio features a queen bed, private bath, kitchenette, and air conditioning, along with access to Playa Caribe’s beachfront amenities.

Inside the Residence

Studio Natasha is a thoughtfully arranged space that suits couples seeking a comfortable stay near the beach. The queen bed ensures restful nights, while the private bathroom with shower provides convenience. A fully equipped kitchenette allows guests to prepare light meals or morning coffee before heading to the pool or beach. Air conditioning makes the studio an inviting retreat after sunny afternoons exploring the Riviera Maya.

Although the unit faces the quieter street side of the building, its central location means you’re only steps from Half Moon Bay’s calm waters and Playa Caribe’s oceanfront pool. Neutral tones and functional furnishings create a simple yet pleasant ambiance, perfect for travelers who want comfort and practicality without excess.

Access & Amenities

Daily housekeeping, concierge services, purified water, parking, and beach towels are included in your stay. Shared outdoor spaces feature a beachfront pool, loungers, BBQ grill, outdoor shower, and tropical gardens.

About the Surroundings

Half Moon Bay is a relaxed neighborhood with cafes, restaurants, and Yal Ku Lagoon within walking distance. Guests can bike, walk, or ride golf carts locally, while a car or driver is recommended for exploring ruins, cenotes, and towns beyond Akumal.

This is a streetview studio without direct ocean views. The beach and pool are steps away, and you’ll enjoy the same perks as beachfront guests. Water shoes are suggested for snorkeling in Half Moon Bay’s mixed sandy and rocky shoreline.

Daily housekeeping service is provided. Parking, beach towels, and purified water are provided.

KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.

The Riviera Maya is full of natural beauty, places to explore and opportunities for outdoor activities. We have a great list of activities and adventures completely unaffected by the arrival of sargasso that we would love to share with you. There is so much to see and do in this special place, we know that you will have an amazing and memorable vacation!

The Natasha suite was so cute and a perfect place for my boyfriend and I to stay down the street from our family at casa mayannah. It was also right across the street from the midway store so everything was accessible. Staff was kind, friendly, and professional. We also loved that the place stayed true to Mexico and their traditions. Wasn’t too modern, so we knew exactly where we were.

Stayed in the streetside studio, Natasha for 7 nights in March 2023. Very nice room for the price. Staff was helpful, maid service very thorough and friendly, great location middle of Half moon bay. Kitchen was well stocked, great pool and grounds, nice seating on the beach. Midway store very convenient for ice/snacks/drinks. The seaweed/sargassum was pretty bad, but can't be helped. Only suggestion to make the room better, darker shade on door and bathroom window. Appreciate the security of the bright lights outside, but room was very light during the night.

Hi Linda, thank you for your kind review and great suggestion. We're glad to hear you appreciate the value and security during your stay at Casita Natasha and look forward to helping you plan another great vacation.

Studio Natasha is a little outdated. A dehumidifier would have been nice to have. Not a lot of dishes, utensils & serving pieces in the kitchen. The heating elements on the stovetop were all bent up. We cook breakfast most mornings and had to do most of it in Studio Maria where our brother was staying.
The beds are VERY firm. Studios are on the back side of the building with only 2 windows ( Kitchen door w/blinds and bathroom which also has a glass frosted door). The lights from the property shined in all night long like the Las Vegas strip so if you like to sleep in complete dark good luck. The property & beach were clean. Pool is nice overlooking the ocean although I had to clean it with the skimmer daily. It’s very dark at night. In my opinion the pool lights should to be kept on after dark for safety purposes. The security guard (Daniel) didn’t do much except set in front of his laptop instead of walking the grounds. We were watching the sunrise one morning and startled him as he was asleep on one of the beach loungers. Housekeeping service was excellent! Glenn & Barb who reside in Studio Annette are great people & so helpful. We bonded right away and enjoyed their friendship.
We have stayed in Akumal several times and are in love with it. We will be back to Playa Caribe but will try a full condo next time.
Manager response on 2022-12-05 - Response from Akumal Direct Reservations
Thanks for your review and recommendations! Playa Caribe, is certainly a great complex and the view from the beachfront condos is certainly better. Let us know when you're ready to come back, we look forward to helping you plan yet another trip to Akumal.

Playa Caribe is one of our favorite properties. We enjoyed the Studio Natasha. It was well organized, clean, and comfortable. The only thing that was difficult for me personally was the dampness in the Studio. That really can't be helped as the ground floor Studio is partially underground. It wouldn't be a problem for most, but my severe Arthritis made it more difficult. All in all though, it was a great unit, and we were happy with our stay. The management is awesome!!

We stayed in this casita many years ago. Now it is very nicely decorated. It could use some bowls (cereal or yogurt type) and glasses. Great location, nice pool. Augustin was great!
