Quiet Caribbean Retreat With Ocean Front Pool

Villa Sirena is a smart 4-bedroom vacation home, overlooking the Mexican Caribbean from Akumal, between Yal Ku Lagoon and Half Moon Bay. This vacation rental is a great fit for groups looking for a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring Riviera Maya. Villa Sirena has spectacular views from its oceanfront pool, outdoor common areas, and even private backyard with a lawn. Plus, a man-made stone walkway allows guests to easily enter the water from its rocky shore for some of the best snorkeling in town. 

Private and Comfortable Vacation Home

Villa Sirena is an excellent choice to set up as headquarters for recreational or research trips to Mexico. This property is quiet and secluded yet within walking distance to Akumal proper and a short drive to Riviera Maya’s major archeological sites, cenotes, beaches, and nature parks in the area. The large spacious areas room up to 12 guests with plenty of space for everyone and everything. Adventurers and explorers will value the proximity to nearby dive shops and the property’s expansive open floor layout for their equipment. 

Expansive Rooms and Common Area Indoors and Out!

This vacation home features traditional built-in masonry techniques using the local architectural style. The white two-story building has limestone accents and is decorated with colorful Mexican tiles and textiles.  Entering the property guests will find a large foyer with a water fountain that leads to the living room and outdoor poolside patio. On the second level, guests will delight from sunrise to sundown with the stunning views from a large partially covered terrace complete with lounge chairs and hammocks. 

Villa Sirena has a fully equipped kitchen to take care of your culinary needs during your stay.

The living room has a TV with cable and satellite, a DVD player, and most importantly Internet, in case you want to keep tabs on office work, emails or surf the web. The house has an amazing view of the ocean and an amazing pool to relax and sunbathe. You can relax on the hammocks or sunbeds in the backyard. 

Each bedroom has a view of the ocean and an en-suite bathroom with showers. Downstairs has a room with a king-sized bed and the second room on the ground floor has 2 double beds. The upstairs guest bedroom also has 2 double beds and the upper-level bedroom with a king bed even has its own private entrance.

What a beautiful space!! I can’t say enough good things. Scott was extremely responsive anytime I needed anything. He gave me a recommendation for a masseuse to come to the house! Fabulous! David was great to help with transportation, I was never worried about how I was going to get to/from the airport or to any excursions. Alma and Sergio were amazing! Alma made the best home cooked meals, and had the space looking pristine! Scott was right about water shoes, a must to get around on the rocks outside the Villa! The sea life is so pretty and I’m so happy I ventured out there to see it! I’ll be dreaming about the pool for the rest of my life!

We rented Villa Sirena @ Nah Hah and had a fantastic vacation. The home is just as described and shown in the pictures. The pool and views are absolutely fabulous. Alma and Sergio came every day to take care of us and the house. We asked Alma to cook a few meals for us and they were delicious. All the folks I dealt with at Akumal Direct while planning the vacation were very responsive, friendly and helpful. They helped me purchase groceries to be in the villa upon our arrival, book transportation to/from the airport, rent golf carts and book several excursions. David recommended a cenote excursion going through a cave which was an awesome experience ( I highly recommend this excursion ). Scott checked in with us several times which made us feel like we had a friend right there if we needed one. Thank you Akumal Direct - This was truly the best vacation ever!

Really enjoyed our stay, Akumal was very responsive to our multi- guest varied arrival and departure times. All personnel and their services were excellent. Restaurants were wonderful and getting around only by golf cart was easy. The weather was fantastic. The neighborhood was also very pleasant.

This property is a perfect place for multiple couples or extended family. It’s spacious and there are plenty of places to relax. The views from all rooms are spectacular. The AC in the bedrooms work great. It’s a long walk to the town so I do recommend some form of transport particularly for youngsters or seniors. But I highly recommend this property. The house was spacious and comfortable for our 6 adults and 3 kids. The toys and pool toys were greatly appreciated by the kids. The pool was fabulous on the point and views were spectacular. The dinner by Alma was great. She and the outdoor worker did great jobs keeping the place clean and tidy. We also appreciated some of the left over spices and food to supplement what we had. The kitchen supplies and towels were plentiful. A few recommendations is to tell people to bring soap and shampoo if you don’t supply it. Luckily I had enough for the family. The coffee pot should be replaced. It only drops coffee into the pot if you lift the pot with a fork. The basket valve doesn’t work unless you shim the pot up.

A very lovely and beautiful stay. The house is huge and can be big enough for a large family. The views were out of this world. There is Restaurants nearby as well as attractions. Alma was our cleaner/cook she was fabulous and so sweet. The hosts are very accommodating and will respond quickly. I would recommend letting the host know if you want to rent a golf cart. The pool was so beautiful and the house was private.

The house was perfect and did not disappoint. Views were fabulous especially from the third floor patio. Snorkeling gear and swim shoes are well worth bringing as well as floats for the pool. One site property management was very tentative and available. Icidro and Rocio took great care of us and the house. They prepared 4 gourmet meals for us that I would highly recommended, even did the dishes. The entrance to the neighborhood was monitored by guards so security was not a concern. Taxi drivers were minutes away as well. There are a few hotel restaurants nearby that make great margaritas.

We will definitely return! The pictures didn’t do the location justice. From the time we walked up until the time we left we felt at home. The best part is the pool being steps away from the door. We loved the following about the stay. 1) warm pool 2) store being steps across and had everything needed 3) proximity to La Bueno Vida (the best!!) 4) comfy sofa 5) location was so cozy and away from the hustle. Things that could be improved on were only 2 and really nothing the home owner had control over. Bring bug spray bc the mosquitoes are the worst! They are like birds and at night and just terrible! Also, sea weed was bad. Overall 5 & we will be back!

Our 2nd time here & 5th time to Akumal.
I almost don’t want to give a review because I want to keep it all to myself.
It’s that kind of amazing.
I love Villa Sirena @ Nah Hah. It’s perfect for my family.
Everything you need for a week away. Nothing is missing here.
You can be active or do nothing.

Alma, Sergio and Scott took care of us all along the way.
Cesar who rents the golf carts is a gem.
Samuel at Pirata Tours Caribe is a so fun.

Akumal is quickly becoming my home away from home thanks to Loco ****** & Akumal Direct.

Perfect location. Good value. Lovely housekeeper who makes a killer pica de gallo! Generous room sizes. Everything about the villa was as described and exceeded our expectations.

Our Property Manager checked in throughout our stay and suggested an incredible private chef experience for a special meal.

Not sure whose job it is but the Iguana waste could use daily attention. There was a pile on the pool deck when we arrived and stayed for the duration of our trip and there was more each day. I’m not sure what the duties were but all we saw was skimming the pool and some walking around of the property. Room for improvement on the exterior/maintenance/pool services.

The view is incredible. The pool is out on the point with no obstructions, giving you views in every direction. You can see the ocean from every location in the house. The windows open up nicely to allow the ocean breeze to flow through. The upstairs balcony was wonderful at night.
The staff is very friendly and keep the house very tidy. Alma cooked dinner for us one evening. We had been out for a sunset sail and came home to a deliciously prepared dinner.
One thing to note about the house layout. The king bedroom downstairs has an exterior entrance. There is a foot path from the back patio to the bedroom. There is no interior connecting door. It is perfect for a couple who would like privacy from the group.
We did not rent a car this trip, but found a golf cart was helpful for getting around Akumal. There are three restaurants within an easy walk. We enjoy La Bueno Vida in the evening. And loved jungle Juice for a morning smoothie, very healthy ingredients.
Snorkeling right from the house is amazing. It was our daily activity. The first two days of our week were perfect, calm seas and super clear visibility. The coral is stunning. Lots of varieties of sea life. The ocean became very rough midweek and it was not safe for those who are not strong swimmers. Also the clarity was clouded up. We walked over to Yal-Ku and paid the $20 entrance fee to get out and swim in the calm waters.
We had a wonderful stay, and will return.

A wonderful villa. Huge, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space, and bedrooms. Awesome pool and so nice to have while on vacation. We loved the location in Akumal. Helpful to rent golf carts to drive to nearby restaurants (but also walkable if you prefer). House cleaner (and cook if you want) was great, as was the yard/pool maintenance person. Akumal rental agency and their concierge very helpful with planning your stay and nearby excursions if you want. Roughly 1.5 hours from the airport, but well worth it if you are looking for a smaller place to stay. We would rent again.

The location is great and the view from the pool is amazing! The house is big and comfortable, and Alma and Sergio kept it immaculate. The water pressure in the upstairs bathroom is poor and could be improved. The management team, including Scott and David, was very professional and helpful. We rented this house with a family friend for a week. We had an incredible time in this home. The location of this house was amazing. We would book here again. There is only AC in the bedrooms and not the main living area. That wasn't an issue for us because the breeze was enough and we spent most of our time in the water. The property management was VERY helpful with all of our questions about the house and location. We loved our experience here.

We had the best experience, we are already talking about when we will have our next reunion in this beautiful house, it was perfect, our own haven. The beds were super comfy and the pool was amazing.
