Description

High above Half Moon Bay, La Bahia 7 combines beachfront living with the privacy and views of a top-floor condo.

One balcony faces directly toward the Caribbean, creating a beautiful setting for coffee in the morning or a drink at the end of the day. A second balcony looks toward the jungle, giving the condo another quiet outdoor space and a completely different view.

About the Condo

The interior has an easy, open layout connecting the living, dining, and kitchen areas. The full kitchen gives you the flexibility to prepare meals at home, while a Smart TV and Wi-Fi provide entertainment when you're ready to relax indoors.

Both bedrooms have Queen beds and share one bathroom.

Air conditioning is provided in the two bedrooms only. The living area is not air conditioned.

Bedding Summary

  • Primary Bedroom: Queen bed
  • Second Bedroom: Queen bed
  • One shared bathroom

Two Balconies, Two Views

The beachfront balcony puts Half Moon Bay front and center, with an elevated view across the Caribbean.

On the other side of the condo, the jungle-facing balcony offers a greener, quieter outlook. Together, the two balconies give guests outdoor space on both sides of the condo and make the top-floor location particularly special.

Beach & Half Moon Bay

La Bahia sits directly on the beach, so getting to the water is as simple as heading downstairs.

Half Moon Bay is ideal for days spent swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing along the shore. The natural seabed includes rocky and coral areas, so water shoes are recommended.

Around Akumal

Restaurants and local favorites are within walking distance, with Yal-Ku Lagoon nearby and Akumal Bay also within easy reach.

A golf cart can make exploring the area even easier and can be arranged through our guest service team.

We were looking for a relaxing stay with a great view and easy access to beach and restaurants. This place delivered from start to finished. They were helpful with the booking and planning our trip process. Check in was smooth and the views were even better in person. Location was just what we wanted- quiet with access. The onsite property management was super helpful and everyone was friendly. Highly recommend!

It was hot and humid but our local manager really took good care of us. There was a huge amount of seaweed so our manager moved us up the coast a few blocks where there was no seaweed. He took care of our rental and everything.

We were in the top unit which meant a climb of 4 sets of stairs, but that gave us a wonderful view of the ocean. The onsite management was quick to fix the burnt out light bulb and replace the water jug when needed. A very relaxing vacation for us.

We stayed in La Bahia #7 for a week in November. It was a great place to stay. We loved the location. We walked to the restaurants, to Akumal Bay and to Yalku lagoon. Beautiful sunrises from balcony every morning and in the evening sunsets from the back balcony! The bed was comfortable and the hosts responsive to my emails and requests. We would definitely stay here again! The only thing I think is important to note is this unit is on the 4th floor and there are 70 steps to walk up. We did not mind the walk (got our steps in every day!) but I was not fully aware of that when I booked this condo. The view is worth the steps!

Nice condo for a couple. It’s a 2 bedroom but overall not a lot of space for more than 2 people. Nice deck on beach side to watch the sunrise and back deck overlooking the jungle for sunsets or people watching on the street below. I should have mentioned to maintenance that the windows leaked when we had hard rainstorms. It really wasn’t a problem for us because we were always supplied with plenty of beach towels.

Thank you, Michael & Karen! We're glad you enjoyed La Bahia 7, from the beautiful sunrise and sunset views to the cozy space for a couple. We appreciate your feedback on the windows and will pass it along to maintenance. Please let us know when you're ready to return—we’d love to help plan another great vacation!

The condo was as described. Very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. View from the patio spectacular. Beach area had sun shades and lounge chairs for everyone and well maintained.
We felt very safe in the area and often walked to nearby restaurants. Especially loved the Jungle Cafe and. La Buena Vida.
Property management very professional and helpful. We had a great time and plan to return.

We stayed for 3 days.
Pro:
- great location straight at the beach and stunning view from the top condo.

Cons:
- water pressure at the shower and toilet is exceptionally poor.
- condo has 2 brm: however, in the kitchen there are only 2 mugs for coffee/tea
- cleanliness is not up to our standard: various kitchen items are not adequately cleaned.
- kettle was not working.

Kitchen items need urgently an upgrade to have an adequate standard and to be useful

The home was as described, it is up a series of stairs and is at the top floor overlooking the bay. We were thankful to have A/C as it would have been unbearable without it. We had all we needed, they supplied fresh water as part of our stay and we had regular cleaning service. We appreciated that the home is in a neighborhood that has a gate and requires confirmation for entry. Additionally, the front desk staff and security staff were kind and helpful. There was an issue with the gas line as part of their normal repair and they were prompt in responding. I would certainly stay here again if I were visiting the area.

The two-bedroom condo is on the 4th floor (top floor) of a very comfortable modern building, directly overlooking the Caribbean. A glass wall with glass sliding doors looks out over the water and coastline to give a panoramic view, and there is a balcony just outside the glass doors. While we were there, a very steady wind blew into the apartment off the water, which kept the front rooms comfortable despite the 85-90 deg.F heat. The two bedrooms both had air conditioning, so all in all, the unit was quite comfortable in the heat. Access to the beach was direct, and the unit is within walking distance of a couple of restaurants, a dive center, and a few other spots.

This cosy condo was well maintained, clean and in a spectacular location. The building is surrounded by flowers, and beautiful beach! Amazing snorkeling in half moon bay - you could get into the water right from the beach in front of the condo. There are restaurants within walking distance. The condo is on the top floor, with quite a few stairs to get to - in case that is an issue for you, chose a lower unit in the same building. However, if you can do steps, being on the top floor allowed for an unimpeded view of the beach, and ocean, and it felt nice and private as well. We would 100% be delighted to stay here again.

We had a wonderful experience with Akumal Direct. Everything was easy. We arrived after hours and the night security gave us the key and let us in. The unit was cleaned daily while we were out, and towels made fresh when wet or dirty. The view was spectacular from balconies on both the sea side and jungle side, for both amazing sunrise and sunset views. The A/C worked well to cool the unit, and windows let in lots of light. We ate every meal on the east balcony watching the birds and sea. The only thing to note was that, when a storm blew through, rain water came pouring in through the doors and windows despite being completely shut. We had to sweep the water towards vents built into the wall, and the ceiling fans dried the floors within a half hour, no damage done. Ants were also into everything, so keep food in sealed containers. Despite these little glitches, the stay was marvelous.

Everything needed for a stay in Half Moon Bay. Bathroom not attached to either bedroom, so easy for 2 couples or a small family to share.
Well stocked, very good internet, great views from the top floor (no elevator)

We recently stayed for one night on our way to Mahahual. The apartment was spotlessly c!ean and really well equipped. The views from the balcony were amazing. We would have loved to stay longer and may well do this in the future.I would definitely text the apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Akumal.

First time at La Bahia, but dozen times in Akumal. Perfect unit for 2 adults since only 1 bath. Great view from Patio of bay & for star gazing at nite. Please note on 4th floor & NO elevator, so LOTS of steps to get yourself & luggage to #7. Fine for us but need to be in shape. Sargassum was really bad and whole bay had issues keeping up with cleaning beach, which was a bit of a downer.
Kitchen was a big lacking in containers for leftovers when making meals and had a bit of an ant issue, so didn’t keep anything on counter, put in frig. Maid service & property management were great.

Great stay in Bahia #7

We stayed at numerous condos on Half Moon Bay. This is the best. Certainly the best balcony and the nicest view over the bay. The back balcony is a big bonus. Affordable too.

Great location and view. Stuff was friendly and prompt.
