We were so excited to see that the property was even better than in pictures.  We loved how easy it was to get to Akumal Bay though we pretty much spent our entire time at "home".  David was amazing in helping us organize airport shuttles, massages, yoga, and cooking classes before we even arrived.  Scott the manager came by to check in to greet us and made sure we had all the info we needed about the house and area.  We also loved Marta and Jose who were always on top of housekeeping and cooked a delicious dinner for our last night. Knowing so many people were readily available made us feel special and also very safe.  Even when walking back from dinner in the dark we always felt comfortable and in a friendly environment.

The place was great - it was just two of us, but the place was very scenic and we used the pool every day after diving. The kitchen was very well appointed, but we preferred to eat out for lunch and dinner.
A couple things to note: the taxi driver had a hard tine finding it and missed the turn off. It is called Villa Seagate on the site, but the name says "Casa Seagate" when you get to the driveway. We rented a golf cart to cruise around and get to our dive shop, Akumal Dive Center (there are 2 dive shops in Akumal, the other one is called Akumal Dive Shop).

Thank you, Rachel. We're glad Villa Seagate worked well for your dive trip, with the pool to come back to each day. Thanks as well for the note about the driveway sign reading "Casa Seagate" and the tricky turn-off. We'll share it with the team and the owner so future guests have an easier time finding the villa. We hope to see you again in Akumal.

We had a great time here with our family of six. With four bedrooms in the main home, a large living/dining area, large well-equipped kitchen, an ocean-view backyard, and a large west-facing pool, it had everything we needed to both relax and entertain the kids for a week. The home was very well maintained, with large kitchen appliances, new power outlets, flawless internet connection, and comfortable TV room. The caretakers were welcoming and friendly. And, property management from Akumal Direct was superb from booking all the way through the conclusion of our stay.

Villa Seagate was the perfect location for our three-generation family vacation.
From the initial booking to our final exit, the experience could not have been better.
The concierge service answered all our questions and was super helpful.
The location could not have been better. It was walking distance to everything, from the pueblo, to the colectivo, to the beach, to plenty of restaurants and shopping.
Upon arrival, Scott provided a welcoming space. The bedrooms, living area, kitchen were beyond our expectations. The bedrooms where spacious with plenty of room for our clothes, and belongings. Every bed was comfortable. Each bathrooms was also spacious. The living areas had plenty of seating, light, air, and were beautifully decorated with minimal knick knacks - important in the presents of small children! The kitchen was outstanding. All the pots and pans we needed, plus plenty of dishes. the stove and fridge were huge! It was nice to have those little extras, like paper towel, napkins and tin foil. And to mention the coffee bar! A great touch. Outside, the grounds were immaculate, the pool pristine. There were so many places to just sit outside, relax, take in the beautiful surroundings, watch the sunrise, the sunset, or just listen to the birds.
Of special note are Pedro and Quetti, who were so meticulous, and respectful with their housekeeping and grounds maintenance. They were diligent without being intrusive. While our family of 10 tried to stay tidy, Pedro and Quetti kept everything sparkling.
Thank you for helping us make a vacation that we will all remember for years to come.

A wonderful week in a magical place. Akumal is such a charming puebla and Villa Seagate has the best location for walking to the south to town or to the north to the Yal Ku lagoon.
The villa is supported by a wonderful family of caretakers--Jose, Marta, and their son, Alex, are personable, friendly, and super helpful.
The villa itself is striking from the rainforest/jungle setting at the front of the house to the wide-open Caribbean vista from the back of the house and property. The tile work in the bathrooms and living areas is beautiful and is so Mexican!
We enjoyed a wonderful week as a family of seven and would highly recommend this property to anyone. We hope to return one day.
My grandson was bummed about not seeing and hearing the Caribbean when he woke up this morning. He told his parents to get jobs and move there!

This home was even better than the pictures! We celebrated my husband’s birthday with a bunch of friends and loved that everyone had their own bathroom access in each room. The owner was attentive and checked in as well as catered to our needs. Our housekeepers Jose and Marta kept the place immaculate and were great cooks and hosts when we needed them. It was walking distance to some restaurants and plenty of shops. Quiet and tucked away from everything but we felt very safe. Overall we were very happy and would love to go back again soon!

This is a beautiful home between the two bays in Akumal. It is beach front but the ocean is inaccessible because of rocks. Swimming and snorkeling is just a short walk away. We had hoped to have the staff cook more meals for us at home but found them to be quite a bit more expensive than going out (although breakfast is listed on the menu as costing $9/pp, it is actually about $30/pp once you add the service costs, the cost of the food, and the shopping fee for the staff). Loved how all of the bedrooms have sliding glass doors (with screens!) so you can listen to and see the ocean. The pool was great and the house had everything we needed.

Our family had an amazing trip to Akumal. The home is in a perfect location - 5 minute walk to town, restaurants, and the beach. The beach is beautiful. 5 minutes to the Ya Kul Lagoon, which is an amazing treasure. We would absolutely return! A family of 7 and we had plenty of room, and the ocean view along with the pool made the home a great get away. Jose and Marta were amazing with great suggestions for activities and their dinner and breakfast was very special and perfect for our family.

We were 7. The visit was terrific. The house was 99% perfect for us. The only way it would be better was if it was truly possible to swim/snorkel from the coast in front of the house. Staff Jose and Marta prepared an unbelievably delightful meal for dinner one night. A highlight. It is a lot of work for them, and we were so lucky to have the meal.

We had the best time in Akumal. It was truly paradise at our front and back door. Marta and Jose were amazing property care takers and just really kind people. They made us dinner one night and it was delicious. There was so much room on the property. We swam in the Cenotes right near the house, ate on the beach, a fishing tour and many other fun things while we were in Mexico. We cannot wait to return for another trip.

I’m almost afraid to write a spectacular review on Villa Seagate. It was a perfect experience. They let us enter a little before the check-in time so we were grateful for that. Soon as you enter the home you’ll mouth to yourself “woah”. It has such a beautiful scenery with a rocky access to the beach. The housekeepers were thoughtful and brought me a fresh coconut in the mornings while I was working. This place is situated right at the midpoint between all the major sites. So, you can still see the popular areas and return to a quiet, secluded, and safe home. We left the windows and doors open while we stayed inside. The ocean breeze is enough. We’ll definitely be back again or try another of Akumal Direct’s villas. Amazing service and timely communication.

We had our small wedding ceremony here and it was perfect! Our guests stayed at the house and loved it as well. Downstairs is 1 bedroom, kitchen, living area and tv room and upstairs are 3 bedrooms, 2 which have their own separate entrance. We loved the layout because it allowed for maximum privacy and separated our group by who likes to wake up early and who likes to sleep in. The pool and grounds are gorgeous and well kept and the caretakers are friendly and helpful. I would stay again and highly recommend it
